Surely Dennis Wise? We lost 5 0 at home to Bolton and pretty sure that was his first game for us. Worst game I'd seen at Filbert St and just watched Peter Taylor do nothing at all on the touchline.

Wasn't that also Walkers first game in goal ? Whoever played that day had a mare too

How was Vardy's debut? I can't remember

He scored away to Torquay in a 4-0 League Cup win.

Has to be Zeljko Kalac chucking them in his own net v West Brom and snatching a draw (I think) from the jaws of victory.

Also, any of Peter Taylor's new signings in the 5-0 home loss to Bolton on the first day of the season.

We actually won on Zelko's debut away at West Brom 3-2 , game was on tv I think, scott taylor scored a couple.

I think we then lost by the same score on his home debut with him having another bad day in a cup tie.

I think that was the last we saw of him until Wembley. lol

That's right.  It was Bolton in the cup and we absolutely battered them but managed to lose 3-2 thanks to Spider's comedy goalkeeping.

I believe his debut against West Brom was also Pontus Kaamark's debut and he looked impressive from the off.

Zeljko had a terrible home debut against Bolton in the League Cup. we lost 2-3 and he was at fault for 3 goals. He had made his league debut against West Brom away a few days earlier and we won 3-2. Amazingly he went on to play in the World Cup finals and won a Champions League medal at Inter Milan. Shows you how nuts football is sometimes
