grumpy old git Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 I can’t put in to words how upset I feel over the sacking of Claudio, let’s just have an honest look at his tenure? As an LCFC supporter for over 55 years I seen the best and the worst of Leicester’s form over the years more bad than good! We are the original yoyo club a couple of years doing OK and the next few years playing rubbish and being relegated. However if you are a true supporter you take it on the chin and keep the faith. We all know that Claudio’s appointment was not everyone’s choose as manager, however we soon saw some signs that just maybe we could survive in the PL and do OK never did we guess where it would end up last year as Champions of the PL and also qualifying for the Champions league. So now the 2016/17 season we played some great teams pre-season but it was not long before our form in the PL came under some media scrutiny but our Champion league form was good finishing top of our group! Wow hang on a minute Leicester City finishing top of a Champion league group I must be dreaming? We also had a good run in the Cup getting to the last 16 just using our second string of players in the main, when most years we couldn’t do this using our first team. Then we played Sevilla in the CL away who are rated as one of the top 6 sides in Europe and we come away losing 2-1, so all we need is a 1-0 win at Home and we are through to the quarter finals of the Champions League. Hang on now I am really kicking myself to believe that LCFC could be in the last 8 of the Champion league, I must have died and gone to heaven!! Now just read that last paragraph again and tell me truthfully that that’s a bad season for Leicester City Football Club? *****News Flash**** Claudio has been sacked he says that his “dream has died” well now so has mine and many other true Leicester supporters.
Fox92 Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 I'm a "true Leicester supporter", I go home and away every week, but my "dream hasn't died" at all. Why? Because the club is still there. The club has not died. We've sacked the manager. They come and go. Nobody is bigger than the club. Nobody. Not O'Neill, not Walsh, not Ranieri, not Lineker. It's done now. Get behind Shakespeare on Monday night because he needs it. We need to stay up.
Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 His dream didn't die of natural causes. He was at the helm with 10 out of the 11 players who achieved greatness last season and £80 million + additions were unexplainably ending our life in the premiership. His history at previous clubs and his management this year suggests we would be relegated, we have a third of the season to hopefully pull out of it.

Well said. Too many Judas' on here, who lack moral fibre! Shame on them.
MattyFromLE Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 Oh ****ing get a grip. There is absolutely no reason why we should be excusing Ranieri for the absolute farce that we've seen unfold before our eyes this season. Similarly the players shouldn't be getting away with it. Has it been a bad season? Other than the Champions League. Yes. Please tell me what you have seen these part 6 months that make you think this season has been "good"?

desertfox2 Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 Supported the club long before the Don will support it after. But it hurts like a messy divorce. Painful.
worksopfox Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 I have seen 18 Managers while following City!! And at the end of the day the Club is still here No manager is bigger than the club!
Mark_from_USA Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 I was thinking Ranieri lived his dream. And we all lived it with him, and that will remain, forever. What died instead was the hoped for aftermath. Maybe he dreamed for the future of Leicester City, and that's what he refers to. Last year, he wrote 'we do not dream, we just work'. Unfortunately, that's what was missing this time out. Maybe it was that, after living his dream (while denying he was dreaming), he then started dreaming? In any case, we go on.

Legend_in_blue Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 I'm getting fed up with this nonsense. We had it under Hollowhead when we went down and the forum was full of it. Time to get over it and deal with it. Support the team, get behind the lads and do your absolute best in helping the team see off Liverpool for a second season running. You're all playing into the media's hands with this nonsense. The more they stir, the more divided the support will become. That's exactly what they want. Don't pander to it, ignore it and use it against them just to **** em off even more.

Claudio is and always will be remembered for being the coach of the biggest achievement of the club's history

brucey Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 You're in a minority here mate, if Claudio is above the club to you, go to reddit r/soccer instead
