Danizen Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 I had my doubts, to be honest. No credible sources. Just banterific Facebook pages trying to shame our owners...who incidentally did donate £2m towards the new LRI Children's Hospital.
Thracian Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 Imagining he had, reflected the optimism of a blind man running across the M1 expecting not to get hit by the traffic. Honestly. the missus knew you had a £3m pay off coming and you told her you'd given half of it away on the way home - and her half at that! .
Bellend Sebastian Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 It's that guy again, isn't it? Gal: Hi honey, what have you been doing today? Guy: Well, I've been on the internet and made a lot of people believe that someone has made a large charitable donation and they haven't really. Gal: Oh. long pause Gal: Why did you do that? Guy: I don't know. Gal: This is like when you lied about your football team signing that player isn't it? Guy: Yes, Gal: I really am leaving you this time
Collymore Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 Vichi blowing 500k on wine while bragging about sacking Claudio to Karen Brady is my personal favourite!
Foxxed Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 Fake news. Or, put another way, a published article or statement which was not true.
RonnieTodger Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 People believe anything if it helps their agenda. As if Sport Bible and "Footy Away Days" were reliable sources.
foxy boxing Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 the fake news is getting worse......Donald Trump must be spitting feathers at this news! . he was going to match whatever Claudio put in!

Sionnach gorm Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 This reminds me of a story: When automobile magnate Henry Ford went to Ireland he stopped at one of his ancestor's home town. The next day, after all the pomp ad circumstances afforded to such a famous man, Ford felt magnanimous and donated 500 Pounds to the local hospital. The following day the local paper's headline was " Henry Ford Donates Fivethousand Pounds to local Hospital". Upon reading this Ford contacted the Mayor and asked why this misunderstanding. The mayor replied that there was no problem at all. In tomorrow's paper they would print the retraction that "Ford did not give 5000 pounds but 500 pounds." Ford, of course, rather flustered replied that he would pay the additional money but on the condition that at the hospital there would be inscribed on the door " I Came To You, And You Took Me In". fake or not that's the story my father, God rest his soul, told me some thirty years ago.
