davieG Posted 16 March 2017 Posted 16 March 2017 Just watching the Besiktas v Olympiakos game where there were 3 first half goals and a sending off and only 1 minute of official added time. I understood it was 30secs / goal am I wrong or is it all down to guess work? It really is time to have an official time keeper and a visible clock we could then know what's going on and avoid the need to book players being subbed etc.
oxford blue Posted 16 March 2017 Posted 16 March 2017 There is quite a lot of discretion: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/20159223
yorkie1999 Posted 16 March 2017 Posted 16 March 2017 in germany its always exactly the extra time on the board, except when bayen are losing.

Foreign officials seem to want to get off the pitch as quickly as possible. It's incredibly frustrating as someone who tends to rely on added on time for corners/cards to win bets haha.
ScouseFox Posted 16 March 2017 Posted 16 March 2017 apparently nasri is looking at a fine for taking nearly 4 minutes to leave the pitch on Tuesday, there were 4 minutes added time. so he basically added no time at all for the goal, the subs, the bits of time wasting and the penalty incident. hero.
Kitchandro Posted 16 March 2017 Posted 16 March 2017 First half: 1 minute unless there's been a serious injury, in which case it's 2. Second half: 3 minutes if the game hasn't stopped once. 5 if the bigger club are losing. This is the standard formula.
Countesthorpe Fox 1884 Posted 16 March 2017 Posted 16 March 2017 Generally speaking as a referee I mainly add time on for injuries, cautions and substitutions if the player is deliberately wasting time but this is only Sunday league but the way the managers bang on about it these days you get shot down if you don't add on time. I don't add time on for a goal scored as Sunday league celebrations aren't usually as excessive.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 16 March 2017 Posted 16 March 2017 First half added time is always half of what it usually should be. Unless a major injury has occurred
Guest Posted 16 March 2017 Posted 16 March 2017 If things are ticking over nicely and everyone has been cracking on with corners and goal kicks etc, I think they should be able to subtract time. "you lot have crammed a full 90's worth of football into these 87 minutes, let's call it a day and beat the traffic."
