But there was almost always a bit of white on the kit, now there's no white but plenty of gold.

The tiniest bit of trim, where one of those seasons we were title holders (pretty much every team that wins the title has some gold trim the following year)? Yep, I see what you mean - complete disgrace.

The club colours are the same as they've always been. Blue. Or did you hate the mid-nineties where we had an all blue kit followed by equal amounts white and gold trim?

Couldn’t agree more Sam. It means so much to some people to be able to think of themselves as part of an ‘ultra’ group. It’s almost as if it makes them a better/more loyal fan.

Yeah, imagine the superiority complex one must have to speak publicly in favour of something which would benefit literally thousands of other matchgoing fans. The gall.

That was clearly yellow and there was still some white on the kit. Plus if look at the last years there's more gold on the kit with each coming year.

To be fair to the club at home and away games through the last few years, they have given out; mince pies, doughnuts, jester hats, crisps, bacon sandwiches and pies.

But the one thing they have given out far more than any other is free beers. I must have had 10 free bottles of beer of the club home and away (probably more as it's easy to get more than 1 at the home games).

So baring that in mind it's hard to say they are only catering for families.

The reason for the regular free beer (as will happen on 1st January) is to clear out existing stock.

Goal music is unfortunately here to stay. We've had it for years. Clappers can get in the bin though. I've noticed fewer people use it these days, hopefully the club will scrap it all together soon.

I'm not anti modern football per se but I can't stand clappers and goal music.

So, as with other earlier posts, what is it that you want?

Do you want the club to make a 20-29 year old block and call it lad club 20-29 where youre guaranteed never to see a woman child or person older than 30?

Do you want 20-29s for a quid? Or season tickets reduced vastly whilst others arent?

Do you want the club to give out free flares and giant flags?

What do you want to support this ultra culture that we dont have now?

And how will this be a credible suggestion that doesnt either a) negatively affect someone elses match experience that is as important as yours b) not leave one group of fans disadvantaged financially in proportion to other groups in the ground c) make sound business sense for the owners and board who have a financial responsibility and d) fit with various legislations.

I was speaking in general, my post wasn’t aimed at one particular point. I hadn’t read the whole thread and was replying to a post.

Edit: The group I was referring to is a very small portion of the Leicester City fan base. Please enlighten me on what you’d ask to be changed. I’m sure everyone has suggestions, but supporting a football team, you pretty much know what you’re going to get on a match day. We’re well looked after in comparison to a lot of clubs.

I want a club 50-60 area where they have a drummer with muffled drumsticks, and because we are past it and don’t feel the need to be unruly once we have a drink, I want scantily clad ladies bringing the beer round like they do at the darts, I also want safe standing as safe seating messes with the piles, and the tv screens facing the crowd because it’s impossible to see the one on the opposite side of the ground. Give me that and I’ll create the best atmosphere ever witnessed at a football ground.

Liverpool didn't originally play in red, but I'm sure if there colours were to change now they wouldn't be happy about it.

A lot of us are quite happy with the blue and gold. It looks smart and gives us a difference to every other club in the premier league. I realise quite a few of you don’t. Clearly there are a few of you who would like blue and white, no music, no free stuff, no clappers, no hats. You guys must be the life of the party! ?

But that will further alienate the mid 20’s alienated aliens.

I want cheaper ticket prices for all. That OK?

I was responding to the point you were agreeing with about a guy going on RL to talk about ticket prices. If lads in their 20s want to lobby for cheaper tickets, then that's got to be a good thing?

If families wanted cheaper tickets, which I also agree with, then we should all back that too.

Ultras? fans for a couple of years with their naff songs and crappy banners.

No thanks-When you have attended over a thousand games in all divisions over many seasons you can call yourself an Ultra-if not shut the FXXk up and watch the game

Not strictly true I remember it being bottles of Carling once and as far as I can tell we don't sell bottles of Carling also the away vouches aren't to clear stock.

I've absolutely no problem with free stuff, but not things that I just find cringeworthy. For instance, I think the beer and food is a really nice touch and is something the club doesn't have to do and I give them credit for that. Whereas I'm not at all keen on the Vardy masks and Jester hats. I'm not all doom and gloom, I just have a preference as to how I'd like the club to appear and obviously it doesn't coincide with everyone's.

Out of interest, has anyone on here ever referred to themselves as an 'ultra'?

It's quite funny because in the post match threads I'm one of the few that tries to say something positive instead of just going into meltdown.

Yeh I’m only joking. I’m a big kid who also likes freebies so it’s great for me. Plus the gold in the kit really accentuates my beautiful silver ‘highlights.’

Do they have to explicitly use the word "ultra"? Its implied in each post whatever the terminology used

Is this not just a market forces thing though?

Tickets could be cheaper for everyone. So could loads of things.

But people are willing to pay the prices. If you arent, someone else is. Supply and demand.

Our tickets are reasonable compared to our competitors. Id love it to be cheaper but i dont think we are bad value.

The ground is already full too.

Its the ground extension thats needed.

Yellow/gold - it's the same colour. You're just looking for stupid things to whine about.

I’ve no issue at all with you wanting cheaper tickets. Ticket prices are fairly expensive, but it’s Premier League football. The prices do become more expensive if you’re precious about where you want to sit.

I’m in my mid twenties and I don’t think the prices are ridiculous. They’re affordable if you’re working. Without going too deep, slightly reducing ticket prices isn’t going to make a huge difference to people. If a £5/10 reduction would make a difference to whether people can go or not, they could just sit somewhere else or miss a game or two over the season.

The tickets are pretty much the going rate.  People (including myself) would like a lot of things to cost less than they do.

I’m not being argumentative @Voll Blau, I just think asking for lower ticket prices just because people want it is asking a bit much. How many of those lads wanting cheaper tickets have a pint or two at half time, the majority I bet. Nothing wrong with that at all, but ‘mid twenties’ isn’t exactly an age group that is generally low income.

Doesn't take a genius to see that the club colours for the vast majority of our history are blue and white.

And the majority of those we've had under the current owners are blue and white. This is as long a period as those early to mid-nineties. So, were you whinging about changing the club colours (which has not happened let's be fair) back in 1995?

If you feel that way, fine. I know people for whom going to games is too expensive now though. If you're willing to just shrug your shoulders and say "market forces" then there's a time that'll come when that's you too.

Again, sounds like you're fine - it's simply not the case for everyone. I don't get why some seem to get so offended/annoyed at people campaigning for something on others' behalf - especially when it's something that would actually benefit them too?

The FSF's success in getting away tickets capped at £30 across the board shows this kind of campaigning can work.

Hard to considering I was one..
