If back row in G then you will have a rail.

The pic on website doesn't seem to say that. Only a small section that joins with Sk1. Original pic on here did indeed show full back row but don't know where that came from.

Predictably the facebook comments on the UFS post on this are wild.

Some of them are proper funny.

"I'd love to stand and watch the City again, but not if it's with UFS"

"Does the FS stand for Full of shit" is another peach

SemperEadem where did you get this from?

Yesterday at some point I saw one of the stadium maps that showed the configuration like that (can't remember if it was here or the LCFC website), but either way the official website is now only showing a narrow slither of G1 as being included.

Im assuming there will now be a gestapo style clampdown on standing in seated areas, like the front of sk1 will be.  If thats the case i simply wont go.

That should be interesting because due to sight lines (assuming the people in the standing areas are actually standing) then, unless they stand, people in the seated sections in large part of G1 won't be able to see the goal at the Kop end, about a quarter of J3 (who will be paying quite a lot for their seats) won't be able to see the goal at the other end, and the back portion of P1 not be able to see about a third of the pitch.

Has nobody at the club even considered that?! Why not just do it properly and convert a whole end?

I agree .  Im not one to be negative for negative sake and i dont get irate at every single decision that is made but i think this is half a job.  Its good we are getting standing areas but it is a half measure.  It doesnt fully satisfy the ones who wanted a large standing area and it possibly upsets those that sit and whose view may be obstructed.

That pic of SemperEadem would make sense. The current one on website doesn't. If it's just the sliver down the side of G1 then you'd have people sitting who wouldn't see by the standing people!  Batsh*t.

I'm in G1 and my seat will be safe standing (Sod that), it looks like there will be a sliver of about 15 seats in that sliver only up until the first aisle.

The sliver is the one posted by @SemperEadem, however as stated by other fans if they go with that one (not the other one they posted of the whole of G1 above vomitories) sat down parts of G1 will have issues with sight lines and won’t be able to see the goal so they might as well make all of G1 safe standing anyway

Cannot understand why they don’t fill below the vomitory in that section would look so much better

Need it for the groundsman and an ambulance up that end I believe.

Think my brain struggling with perspective. Looks like that covers most of G1.  I'm easily confused. Certainly haven't received an email yet telling me my seat in safe standing area.

The inperson and online discussions the clue opened up had low attendance which was a big shame.

It is indicative of our general fanbase. Mouth off online, but cannot be bothered to do anything else.

SK1 stops at the barrier not the staircase. So it really is just a sliver of G1

I am a little annoyed by this.  Maybe unnecessarily,  time will tell.  My concern as a member is that we will not be able to get a 2 tickets together in a standing area, as they are small areas and may be filled with ST holders (fair enough ST holders can choose where they are located) before i get my chance to buy a ticket.  I will not sit at football.  Never have, never will. Im assuming there will now be a gestapo style clampdown on standing in seated areas, like the front of sk1 will be.  If thats the case i simply wont go.  It may seem a small thing to many but standing is a big thing when watching football, for me.  Sitting just doesnt feel right and i dont enjoy it as much.

I did do the survey and also spoke to the people on the stall near the club shop before one of the games and gave my opinion as well as mentioning safe standing in every questionaire the club sent about the match day experience, so i did what i could.  Im amazed that more people didnt do the survey...why?????  it took literally less time than it does to post a moan on social media!!

The consultation also included feedback that some of the safe standing should be made available to non ST holders, the clubs published piece states:

We’ll confirm the number of safe standing spaces immediately available for relocation (as well as any being reserved for Matchday Tickets) on Friday 18 April, once those relocating out have had the opportunity to do so. If a ballot is needed, you’ll be entered into it and we’ll contact you to let you know if you’ve been successful by 5pm on 23 April..

UFS made sure there was a good proportion of match by match tickets and will be doing the same again.

The logic has been driven by several factors with the results of the survey being one of the key ones.

  • The largest amount of safe standing positions have been created where the largest demand was indicated in the survey
  • However within the survey results there were fans in SK1 that still wanted to sit
  • The numbers in SK2 - SK4 who wanted to stand was quite low and nothing like the numbers in L1

However only 1,850 fans completed the survey, the club publicised the survey in many different ways and we posted on here encouraging posters to complete the survey. If the response level had been much higher with fans stating they wanted to stand, then more safe standing positions would have been introduced this summer. The actual demand experienced over the coming weeks will determine if any area is further expanded for 26/27 (subject to sight lines)

The club hope they can facilitate swaps of ST holders who want to sit and move down to a seated area, with someone moving in the opposite direction who now wants to stand within the same block

You can't really blame the club for this outcome whatever their motives maybe if only 1850 fans completed the survey then the fans that didn't bother are the ones to blame. The abstainers have given the club the ammunition to do what they prefer they must be delighted.

I mean I filled it in and don't/wont/cant stand and voted for SS.

1850 is a pretty good number. Far beyond what most surveys get. It’s the club’s duty to make sure people fill it in - it doesn’t feel like they flogged it.

They could have texted it out, left cards on the seats, announced it at a home game but that’d require a bit of effort for an answer they’d rather not get.

@Sol thewall Bamba how many surveys have they actually done over the years? 3?

I'm curious if they had the survey available to those who came to the safe standing open day type events?

Alongside the fanzone, the shop and the turnstiles putting a few staff with iPads offering the survey out to people at each location would've gathered significantly higher numbers.
