A brand new thread every time there's a shortening of odds?

You'd have thought people would have realised by now that the bookies are clueless, as are those throwing money at the latest name.

You only have to look at the number of names whose odds shortened during the searches post NFP and Ranieri.

2/1 on Coleman & Dyche at the moment.  In betting terms, they are still massive outsiders with those odds.  Because Ancelotti's odds have shortened to 12/1.  It don't mean shit at this stage.  It just means someone has gone into Ladbrokes & put £20 on it.

If 2 people put £20 on this place goes into meltdown with 50 pages of pros, cons & Rudkin BS.

The Claudio one showed how far off they can be, all our boys on here were tracking planes going into Austria and reports Ranieri had popped over there too, onto people saying its done and the odds still being 5/1-ish on him a couple of hours before it was announced

They have more idea about running betting markets than whats going on in any given club

Thats very true - About 3 years ago I and work colleagues walked into a greasy spoon cafe opposite Ann Summers HQ (Gold family, David Gold Chairman West Ham etc) There in the corner was Alan Pardew with his old goalkeeping coach. Now Pardew had left Newcastle and West Ham were looking for a manager. Pardew was 30/1. That was too much of a coincidence right? A colleague put £10 on Pardew to be the next WHU manager and the odds immediately shortened to 12/1. Turns out Pardew used to live in the area and his old goalkeeping coach was at Whyteleafe FC 800 yards away. He never had a sniff of that WHU job. But we were all convinced we were on to something!! He'd got his new eye-blinding white traniners on and everything!
