This, despite the fact I and everyone else has already slated the morons in the other thread that had been running all day. Not really a surprise, because I know who you are and you've always been a bit slow. Another one onto the ignore list. Resorting to insults is par for the course for you ( you always do it when called out ) The fact that calling someone a moron then making light of it actually makes you the moron completely flew over your head. And you have the nerve to call me slow? Ignore list? please be my guest bully boy.

Danno Posted 13 March 2018 Posted 13 March 2018 This is what happens when you sit next to the away fans really, not a good idea when you have children who’ll be exposed to swearing and stuff like this happening. I’m sure West Brom fans are of course all angels and never throw things.

A terror attack is vile, a rapist is vile, an idiot at a football match throwing things is stupid this kind of over use devalues the words, they lose merit. I blame social media personally, too much drama involved

They're football fans who are desperate to see their team win in the hope of avoiding relegation. Did we over celebrate our goal away at WBA in the great escape season when we were in a similar predicament to them? And in the other games which we won to ensure our survival? If supporters aren't allowed to celebrate vociferously when they score a crucial goal then we might as well stop going to games. The thing is, a vociferous celebration is spontaneous, and it fits the moment. For example, the Jamie Vardy goal in the great escape was a spontaneous moment of joy. And thats what makes the celebration fantastic. HOWEVER, there are some people who make a pre meditated decision that when the ball hits the back of the net, they will DELIBERATELY push people over, smack into them, and go way over the top. Ive had this happen to me before. I remember it up at Sunderland one time in a totally meaningless championship game. We scored an early goal and a load of tanked up slobs started jumping around in a way that was clearly pre planned. So im all for passionate celebrations dont get me wrong, but some people go to away games simply to be as obnoxious as possible. Theyve bottled it up all week and are ready to just let rip and **** whoever is in their path. 2
steveherbe Posted 13 March 2018 Posted 13 March 2018 Sorry, but I must own up, as I also threw something and hit a fellow fan in the away end on saturday. When Vardy scored I raised ny hands to celebrate, and inadvertently launched my glasses into the air. For about 30 seconds I was totally buggered until a member of UFS - yes, that hooligan group of black shirted ultras - managed to locate them 4 rows forward of me. Luckily the poor bloke I hit didnt report me to the stewards, and saved me from making a spectacle of myself. Humble apologies to all involved, and I hope Mrs Astle wasnt traumatised by my senseless actions. 1
Ian Nacho Posted 13 March 2018 Posted 13 March 2018 Didn't the lighter hit someone else then it ricocheted on to her? I'm not saying that sort of thing is acceptable but I've experienced it many times where things have been thrown at me from the opposition supporters. For me it's an extreme example of the 'persistent standing rule,' it's the rules that persistent standing isn't allowed but it happens, the same with objects being thrown which is far worse. It's very difficult to prevent.

There have been a lot of people complaining about poor support from our fans in away ends this season and too many 'flask army' supporters. Last Saturday it appeared to be a more vocal and vociferous away end and there are now complaints about this too. As was mentioned by @Babylon in another thread I think - No middle ground on here!
