What do you want?

  1. 1. What do you want?

    • A progressive footballing side that can pass the ball and keep possession
    • A team that is hard to beat, but lacks creativity going forwards
    • An attacking team that is exciting to watch, but at the cost of the defensive solidity
    • A counter attacking team with low possession that turns defence into attack in an instant
    • An innovative team that tries different things and takes risks

I also went for the bottom one and as you said I haven’t got any sort of idea how to fit the criteria of that selection,

I would like us to be a bit more unorthodox and try different things as I think the flexibility in football has disappeared

i liked some of the ridiculousness of 15/16 when we would have 3 players on the halfway line while defending corners

when we used to have 3 players taking corners

trying something different on kickoffs instead of just punting them forward and hoping for the best

Now you've opened a can of worms. I absolutely cannot get my head around why we leave no-one up at corners when defending them. We leave no-one up and we still can't defend them properly.

That’s why as daft as it seems I think Claudio was on to something, on rare occasions when Vardy stays up front the opposition will leave 2 defenders back to mark him

if we put 3 up front they would surely need to put at least 4 back, so include the keeper and the corner taker the opponent can only have 5 at max in the box to our 8 including our keeper, even if they did short corners we would obviously still have the numbers to cover it

That sort of percentage would put us 6/7 in the possession league along with Southampton and Man Utd

Id say we are there or thereabouts since shakey went

athletico madrid kinda style, one top striker followed by a load of somewhat average but hardworking players... 1-0 wins losses.

fixed.

If you think that Athletico is only about Griezmann surrounded by Albrightons then you definitely need to watch them play. more than the usual Highlights, if you ever saw them.

I enjoy watching us most when we're aggressive and incisive.

The 'fearless' thing has been done to death by the club, but we're at our best when we throw caution to the wind and attack.

I prefer us to keep it on the deck, but I don't mind us playing a few long balls if we're looking to attack. I'd rather watch us knock it into the channels and throw people forward than dick about with it around the midfield and defence without getting into the final third.

Exactly.

you've misinterpreted that, that wasn't the idea I was trying to portray. The comment after was more to do with a realistic version for us to aim for, One outstanding player with the rest hardworking individuals. Obviously, we could never match a team like their selves, I was more referring to the fact they are stereotyped as having a striker to rely and build their team around.

My bad, I indeed completely misinterpreted you.
