I didn't put any usage details in. Just clicked the link. Put in my postcode and that it was a house and it came out with the quote, then the next screen was asking for my bank details to complete the switch.

Just underneath the 'Switch Now' button there's another link that says: Have your bill handy? Refine your quote

Try giving that a click and entering a bit more about your usage, it'll quote a little more accurately then. :)

Cheers, done that although my latest figures are from April so a lot more usage then. Now saying I'd save £9 a month.

No worries bud. Not a huge amount but £108 over the year plus the £50 referral credit you'll get isn't too shabby

All done, cheers.

Keep it going Daz.

All these sign ups at £50 a pop and you’ll soon have enough money to emigrate :D

All four of my family are now on Bulb as are several of my friends all through a chain of recommendations and £50 discount to both parties.

If it proves cheapest as it did in all of these occasions, daft not to use a referral and pass you own on once set up

Do all you Bulbers get a smart meter when you sign up?

I recently switched from Eon to Scottish Power but of course my Eon smart meter isn't compatible

I'm a bit lost without a smart meter now and no idea how much I'm using..

Not sure

They do set it out very easy though and ask for monthly readings (on line) so accurate.

Not difficult to calculate units used x cost per unit + amount of days standing charge.

Calculated myself to be 100% and if same units used this year on dual I'll save £800 on my home and £400 on a property I let out

Sounds like a result mate

You're right, I could work it out from taking a reading off the meter on the wall like I used to.

The good thing about the in-home LCD display is that it tells you how much you're currently using & last hour/day + month to date spend. It's also a good visual reminder to turn off the hot water boost and stuff.

Looks like Bulb are rolling them out from early this year so I might switch to them when my Scottish Power tariff run out.

Good man.

If you do that I'll take us out for a bite of food and a beer. We've been saying it'd be good to catch up IRL for a while.

I'm in France at the minute and it's so nice to be away from the UK again. I'm infinitely happier, less stressed, less full of despair and the mountains and fresh air are doing me the world of good. If only I had a spare 600k lying about I'd buy one of these lakeside lodges and never come back!

Only need another 11, 987 referrals. lol

Recently switched to bulb. They quoted £60 per month.

Now they want £130 which is what i was paying npower :o

Mind you, npower wanted £155 so guess i still save £20ish............for now.

Needed an isolater switch fitted and they sent someone out no problem.

Dont know what happened to my £50 credit as £60 was taken from my account and the online account is not much help.

I moved my mum over to Bulb recently. Reviews were decent and it looks like it'll save her money.

Might move there myself if it works for my mum.

Are you using your dear old mother as a guinea pig? Ruthless but I like your style.

I moved to Scottish Power recently after being with Eon for years.

Their customer service is just as shit.
