lol cleverly disguised as a “foaming at the mouth” let’s get Pearson back thread

I was one of the main people wanting him out to be fair lol, I don't perticularly want him back, over ranieri or Puel yeah, but If I'd put an 'Other' option I'd have voted for that 100%

None of the above! Martin O'Neill is the only Manager in recent years who deserves to be chosen.

'recent'

:crylaugh: 15 people have voted Puel!!

They must have enjoyed the Championship days.

yeah cos we're heading for the Championship by finishing top half (or 11th) in the Premier League with him so far.

He is a current Manager - as much in touch with the English game as (Belgian 2nd Division) Pearson or (French League) Ranieri! He's also younger than Claudio (admittedly only by 6 months!).

Form going into next season if he's still here (Or if he was allowed to continue), I'm concerned.

so?

the poll was 'recent managers'. O'Neill is only recent to us if you think something like England winning the World Cup happened not so long ago.

what about when Pearson was here and we didn't win from September (after the 5-3 Utd win) to December and January to April in the same season?

How concerned then and did he get more lee-way because he was a bit of a nutter in press conferences at times?

I was concerned, i'll admit that, i'd be an ostrich to not admit it.

He got more lee-way for what he'd for us. After the Hull game with a heavy heart I thought he had to go which being a massive Pearson fan was a hard thing to say but then we took an upturn in form.

It was also our first season back in the PL and relegation was always a threat and a possibility. Now we should be progressing, we're far from progressing, we're struggling to tread water in the last few months.

There has been very little to be positive about or enjoy under current in management.

Many Southampton fans claim Puel was the start to their problems, not helped by who they appointed next.

Went for Pearson as he laid good foundations at the club, which gave the springboard for the title triumph.

not Puel? I'm shocked, Mr!
