How many other clubs have owners who host an event that is attended by the Royal Family?

Plenty of current Leicester players attended, as well as also former players (such as Paul Konchesky who I stole the photos from)

I think it just reaffirms why they are the best owners in the League and probably, the English game. We're very lucky to have them and this is a great honour for our club to constantly get their Royal Highnesses to attend and participate in these (now yearly) events.

Great honour for the club? It's nothing to do with the club. It's rich blokes doing rich bloke stuff.

I've nowt against it but this really has nothing to do with LCFC.

I mean, King Power is the name that is literally plastered all over our stadium, shirts, and club, as well as our owners running the event and our players attending, so wouldn't really say it has nothing to do with LCFC.

Could easily be seen as good advertisement for our owners and the club.

So? You think Man City fans feel "honoured" when they see people at the airport hopping on an Etihad flight?

LCFC owners own a company called King Power. King Power also sponsors a polo tournament, completely independent of their involvement with LCFC. It's an extremely tenuous link at best, and a bit weird how people are so keen to connect the two.

Bit rich from someone who is forever going on a fake friendship Bochum but like you say It's an extremely tenuous link at best, and a bit weird how people are so keen to connect the two...

Yeah, I guess going to Germany twice or three times a year to go and see mates you've known for the best part of a decade would be the very definion of "fake", wouldn't it?

Bless you for trying to use my own argument against me mind, maybe try a *bit* harder next time.

Almost as weird as people who keep trying to link us with Bochum...

Someone's made that joke already. Keep up.

Funny though isn't it. i think there's more of a link between the club and this event than us and some random german team that keeps getting pushed on here.

Don't take it personally!

If people aren't into the Bochum thing then it's never bothered me, each to their own, but I think it's a bit strange to suggest that a bunch of rich blokes prancing around on horses is more linked to our club than people who regularly attend Leicester games.

It's our owners and their primary business / source of income. Any kind of positive exposure the King Power brand gets can only benefit the club either financially or in terms of brand recognition. Not a tough one to work out really!

Well yeah, but people saying we should feel "honoured" is completely over the top. Royalty aren't turning up because King Power are linked to LCFC are they? They're turning up because it's a polo tournament. King Power don't organise it for the reasons you mentioned, otherwise they'd be wearing LCFC branded polo shirts instead of King Power ones. They aren't one and the same.

I didn't mention the LCFC brand I mentioned the King Power brand. People will recognise KP more which will in-turn increase the brand recognition with LCFC and benefit us indirectly.

As for 'great honour', I agree, I'm not a royalist in the slightest but I can see how it would make KP look good in the media.

How about the fact the owner gave Prince Harry a Leicester shirt?

The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, is handed a Leicester City shirt by the club's chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha
