Can’t wait for him to sign, make his debut after four months in the wilderness, be played out of position and be written off by FoxesTalk after 15 minutes

In reality  your 15 mins is about 10 to long for some on here. Then you have the situation that he starts from the bench for his debut. In which case some will say he's just shite before he even gets on the pitch.

Atlanta are really switched on as a club, instead of buying over the hill European players they've been picking up tidy south Americans, Tata Martino as manager clearly helps too. I'd be cautious of buying from the MLS but Almiron is destined for bigger things

Tidy young South Americans as well really. Bit of a Red Bull model almost.

If we're interested (and I'd put money on this being absolute rubbish) then I'd expect it to be as a wide player.

We currently play a central midfielder on one side and a right back on the other because the manager is so unhappy with his wingers. Even with Gray fit, Puel seems to have a very bipolar relationship with him, clearly Puel wants to play 4231 and clearly he doesn't like his wide men.

Don't even think he likes Ghezzal.

Almiron has played his last three games on the left wing, he's played on both wings previously for Atlanta. He played on both the wings and as a conventional central midfielder for Lanus. In short, he's pretty versatile.

But, again, I highly doubt we're bidding.

i agree we are absolutely crying out for a winger who is already really good, can take someone on and make something happen.

Selling Mahrez and Leaving your main 2 wide options as Ghezzal and Gray  was a terrible idea, one thats probably going to cost us 7th again (along with our annual defensive problem)..

Probably one of the best players and maybe THE best young player in the mls. I found the arsenal links strange and a little sad as I highly doubt he'd walk in to their first team.

He'd be better off moving to a club like us that might actually play him.

Probably both rumours are just his agent trying to get him to Europe mind.

Josef Martinez has been doing all their scoring and breaking records but just like BWP before him, he didn't do much in Europe. Almiron is considered something else though, raved about as a genuine young prospect who'll be here in only a matter of time.

I'm a season ticket holder for the Vancouver Whitecaps, have been one from the very start of the club joining MLS.

I have watched my fair share of MLS and have seen the progression in the quality of the league over the years.

I will say this, if you took the top clubs in MLS and made them play a regular season schedule in England they would struggle to finish in the top half of league 1.  The quality of the league is still very far behind the premiership, I've seen Miguel Almiron play before he is not a player you would expect to walk into premiership club and earn a starting spot, he would still very much be a project he is by no means the finished article.  Just because he is doing well in the MLS isn't a reason to get excited.

At this point in time I don't think the club needs a player like this.
