foxfanazer Posted 3 March 2019 Posted 3 March 2019 People talk about coaching but if the basics aren't there what can you do. Simple passes going astray, playing the ball backwards in the 92nd minute from a free kick on the halfway line etc. These should be things that don't need coaching and if you can't already do them you shouldn't be playing for an ambitious PL side
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 3 March 2019 Posted 3 March 2019 The players we have are above average in this league but that's about it. We're not as good as we think we are unfortunately!
Dahnsouff Posted 3 March 2019 Posted 3 March 2019 Stuff takes time. Stop being a product of the knee jerk society, take a moment to stare as the tree’s sway serenely in the wind. Look with wonder upon the stars in the darkest of nights. Take these gifts, these solemn silent moments of contemplation. Think. Then, and only then, return hither and post upon this board.
Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 3 March 2019 Posted 3 March 2019 Certain players such as Ndidi, Maddison and Chilwell are often bigged up on here, but still have a long way to go in my opinion. Maguire is also massively under performing this year.
woodland fox Posted 3 March 2019 Posted 3 March 2019 They are a very good squad but lacking a midfield player who could score a few goals and more support for Vardy is needed.
CosbehFox Posted 3 March 2019 Posted 3 March 2019 It’s the intelligence more than anything else. Make sensible decisions we’d be about seven points better off. Instead our decision making is lazy
BenTheFox Posted 3 March 2019 Posted 3 March 2019 I've said many times that a lot of our fans overrate this squad. Look at the teams around us. They all have a handful of players that would walk into our team.

If Ndidi learns to pass, madders quickens and chilwell's deliveries improve, we've some outrageous talent
cropstonfox Posted 3 March 2019 Posted 3 March 2019 We are not very good.Puel has dismantled a premiership winning team . Brendon has a hard job sorting out the mess he had left behind.:- A lack of intensity A lack of fitness A group of young players who are not good enough but sadly believe they are.
Hollyfox Posted 3 March 2019 Posted 3 March 2019 We have had an amazing ability to implode this season and today was yet another example. Claude did a decent job but was let down on many occasions by the 11 on the field doing ridiculous stuff. There are faults with our squad but we should be many points better off if we'd have been a bit more savy during games. Over to you Brendan ?

"Dismantled" a premiership winning team. Seriously? Kante was already gone. Mahrez wanted to leave and tried to force transfers. Simpson morgan fuchs okazaki all either old or not good enough Puel then brought in ricardo and maddison who most would agree are good signings (although maddison i think is very overrated) and promoted chilwell and barnes. As for lack of intensity and fitness then they should look at themselves more too instead of waving their arms about and using twitter. It was your "dismantled" quote that was silly
cropstonfox Posted 3 March 2019 Posted 3 March 2019 Sorry he was quick to discard what was left.He worked on the premise that young was good. Set us back a season.

So you believe he should have been playing simpson morgan fuchs okazaki king more then? "Quick to discard what he was left"... he tried to get a tune out of ihaenacho and couldnt so thats nachos fault frankly, hes tried Gray numerous times and csnt get him to realise his potential, he sold iborra who was never going to fit either his style of pass and move OR the "leicester way" of direct football...all whilst promoting barnes chilwell and hamza. Should we drop all the youngsters too for over the hill donkeys?
cropstonfox Posted 3 March 2019 Posted 3 March 2019 No! Looks like we agree here? He saw the problems but never had a clue regarding the answers or how to implement them. Hopefully we have a manager now we can trist to trust to evolve into a new shape without toally disregarding what had brought us success.

I meant that it’s unfair to make comment on a manager till he’s had a preseason at the very least. Having said that, that’s a whole lot more than Puel got from many here.
smitha Posted 3 March 2019 Posted 3 March 2019 The squad has potential but at the moment we are just missing a few vital parts, hopefully Rogers is the man to bring it together. We have struggled since we won the league to find a new identity and way of playing, as of yet no one has succeeded. As others have mentioned a lack of fitness is a worry. A big summer lies ahead to develop the squad with more quality and in depth.
