I could have a completely different list tomorrow, though the top too are pretty locked in. When I think of the acts, and even genres, I've omitted from that list, I feel sick to the stomach! I realised I left out AM 180 by Grandaddy, a song I can listen to on repeat many times over, but which of the above to sacrifice? Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhh!
Soup Posted 7 June 2019 Posted 7 June 2019 Simon and Garfunkel - Baby Driver John Coltrane - Blue Train Bob Marley - Natural Mystic Rebirth Brass Band - Feel like funkin' it up ( live street mix ) Beastie Boys - Open Letter to NYC Pharcyde- Passin Me By Sly and the Family Stone - If You Want Me to Stay Marvin Gaye - Inner City Blues To pick 8 songs is near impossible, but if I suddenly woke up on a desert island and they were the only songs I had I'd be happy.

Nearly picked those two myself, it's an impossible task

pSinatra Posted 9 June 2019 Posted 9 June 2019 Johnny Cash - Redemption Blur (ft. Francoise Hardy) - To the End Depeche Mode - Enjoy the Silence The Flaming Lips - Do You Realize? Richard Hawley - Valentine Bee Gees - You Should Be Dancing Sufjan Stevens - Flint Beastie Boys - Ch-check It Out (my pissed out my brain go-to singalong - I'm presuming there will be fruit fermentation going on) That's made my brain hurt. I can come back in an hour & none of those will be on my list.

Can't I just have some form of mp3 playing device? Hang on! My luxury item is a solar-powered 1tb mp3 player. Which has got me thinking... has anyone ever requested a record player as the obviously necessary luxury item, or is that given as washed ashore... and also that it's an old hand drinkable one?
purpleronnie Posted 22 July 2019 Posted 22 July 2019 Like others have said it's an almost impossible task. Heck I could choose 8 songs from one artist and be happy with them...but might as well give it a go...here are todays choices lol. Van Morrison - The Healing Game Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Hey Hey, My My ( Into the Black) The Kinks - Waterloo sunset Bob Dylan - Jokerman Bruce Springsteen - Racing in the Street James Taylor - Carolina on my Mind Simon & Garfunkel - Kathy's Song Pearl Jam - Alive
oakman Posted 22 July 2019 Posted 22 July 2019 This is near impossible but I’d go for something like this: Don’t Bother Me - Bad Brains Gimme Shelter - Merry Clayton Hey - Pixies A Forest - The Cure Downpressor Man - Peter Tosh Maggot Brain - Funkadelic Jack The Ripper (live) - Morrissey Shine On - The House Of Love
