Interesting. Are you guessing or using known info? In my naivety, I’d assume all were on lower salaries as they signed their contracts pre-Neymar, (the day football lost its mind). Really can’t imagine Rangers are paying much. Monaco? 🤷‍♂️  Who knows.

I suspect the players benefit from the low tax structure in Monaco so wage comparisons may be a little misleading - fact is silva (and slim) need to do us no favours and will do whatever they need to in order to get the best deals for them and their agent....

 

We need to be so careful buying players at 28/29.  Resale is difficult

First of all, I acknowledge that Silva's transfer really hasn't worked out well.

 

But I never fail to despair/be amused by people indulging in the FoxesTalk 101 of angrily slagging bad transfers off after the fact. It's right down there with any post that contains the words '...if only we'd had a better window in summer 2016, we'd now be in charge of the ENTIRE world / we missed our ONE CHANCE!!!!...'

 

There will inevitably be duff signings, for one reason of another - that's life. I really like our squad and set-up right now.

Monaco are gambling on Silva and Slimani will they hit the jackpot or lose all their money paying these two wages!. they have both been a massive disappointment. Silva was a disaster from the very begining and never really recovered from that. while Slim shady never suited the way we play and was never going to be the main striker. best just to get rid and move on.
