Ric Flair Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 I know it's early days, but I think Gerrbrand is technically one of the best defenders i've ever seen in a Leicester shirt. We certainly haven't had many like him who can read the game with such a cool head. His passing out of defence is helping no end, considering we have 3 other defenders who's only interest is hoofing the ball to Pele Dublin. I thought Gerrbrand was head and shoulders above every other player on the pitch on saturday and if he did ever lose the ball he had it back within an instant. He's fast becoming my favourite player behind Smudger. Levein had been after this lad for 3 years and his persistance has paid off. Quality.

Collymore Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 Smith was shit hot aswell when he got the ball. 2nd half, when he destroyed them down the right, he was doing all his trickery right infront of me, row A style. What a player, He reminds me of a 10 year old Collymore.

Head Honcho Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 Our most valuable asset, Premiership bound in January!
TAFKA Castroneves Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 I've always had a feeling about Patrick, he really should be a mainstay in our defense at the moment - he's making a big impact and making a big difference, our defense always looks stronger with him in it. Good job to him (Y)
The People's Hero Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 I've only seen him once and that was Saturday. He and Smith were our best players on the day.
IDEA OR IKEA Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 I've only seen him once and that was Saturday. He and Smith were our best players on the day. He is the worlds greatest defender potentially !

Steven Posted 8 November 2005 Posted 8 November 2005 Where does the nickname come from? Reference to a children's character he resembles. Try this
gurkbasurken Posted 8 November 2005 Posted 8 November 2005 Reference to a children's character he resembles. Try this Yep, that's correct! Everyone here in Sweden calls him Totte, and I think he does it himself as well. /g
The People's Hero Posted 8 November 2005 Posted 8 November 2005 We'll do well to hold on to him. He seems so unafraid, so calm and so dominant.

As i said in the other thread...he does the job! Somehting which defenders we have had recently have failed to do. He knows what his job is and he gets on with it without any fuss! Doesnt ponder about, ball watching which is something we were very good at last season! Hope he can keep it up! Its nice that CL has sorted the defence out, lets just hope we can sort out the attackers! Hume and Hammond playing tonight for reserves so hopefully they can bag a few and get their confidence up!
Tommy Posted 8 November 2005 Posted 8 November 2005 can i get a woo wooo Yes you bloody well can! Woo Woo
cisono Posted 8 November 2005 Posted 8 November 2005 Haven't seen him yet but... I am not surprised. He was supposed to be a really good player, wasn't he? Glad to have someone of his ability playing for us
