Second half was a massive improvement though, was possession with purpose. Lookman changed that game for us, and it's unfortunate we came away with nothing.

It's weird because I believe our front 3 are our biggest threat but they also contribute massively to the lack of creativity we have as a team. They need a certain type of service or the opposition to be playing a certain away. None of them are good enough with their back to goal to receive the ball, and get the ball moving in to order to shift opposition players meaning it's so slow. 

 

It's amazing that Vardy has scored as many goals he has given the service he gets but part of our a problem is that he  needs one kind of service.

If you wanna call it 2nd half then fair enough you're more than welcome to your opinion, personally from what I can gather it was 25 minutes, so for around 3 quarters of a game we were insipid, trying the same old things over and over again expect different outcomes, it took us to go 2-0 down with only about a quarter of a game left to snap into life and try something different. Not good enough.

Nah, we were all over them for the entire second half, mostly through Lookman. Their goal came from a set piece and was well against the run of play at that point.

We created chances today we just seem a bit toothless at the minute. First real but of quality play and we scored from it. 
 

We set up wrong, Maddison needs to play at 10 when he starts not at right wing. He’s not offering a great deal at 10 let alone wide right. We looked far more dangerous when Lookman came on who must start against Burnley.

For all the lack of shots, we've had four goals disallowed this week due to technicalities and very close decisions.

 

It's a deliberate ploy to play the way we do, we need to start strongly in games.

It surprises me that Rodgers doesn't want us to start fast, because at Liverpool his team often killed teams in the first 20 minutes so they could go into cruise control thereafter!

 

First half we weren't creative at all, but second half I thought we were great at times. Barnes and Lookman on either side really stretched the game, Ricardo looked deadly. Castagne came on to add another attacking fullback and he was putting in some good crosses. Brighton were totally on the back foot and couldn't get out. I've not seen us play that way in a very long time, so despite the loss, that aspect was very pleasing to me, especially as one of the reasons to play 433 in the first place is because you can do that to teams. Just look at how good Liverpool are at doing it!

 

I would like to see us try the 433 again, this time with Lookman starting for Maddison, and attacking the game from the off. Next Saturday we are at home, so I'd love to see that lineup and attacking from the off against them.

Been too many games again though since Xmas where we have started painfully slowly and we only react when a goal or two down..

we hadn’t learnt from two heavy West Ham losses for them to comfortably beat us a 3rd time..

Our starts to games  are pretty horrific for the main.. I dont see it changing any time soon…

I'm sure this happened beginning of last season too. We were getting results but not creating loads but our conversion rate was really high. Now we are creating little and converting little.

Actually starting to sound like a bully, but it's James Madders isn't it? Our no.10 has either given up trying or his hip has disintegrated.
