its's a fine song but does have the most appalling near rhyme

Sorry for late comment. Depending on what explanation you believe. It was a reference to the empty chair In the shrinks room or something from Neil Diamond's Jewish background. Not hundred percent sure, but I think they used real words from lots of different languages, chosen for their sound, so that Liz's voice was an instrument.
