Was at a train station earlier and someone had this old-ish song quite loud on their headset.

Does it not make sense to you?

This lyric 🤔🧐

I was twenty one years when I wrote this song

I'm twenty two now, but I won't be for long

That makes perfect sense doesn't it?

Not to me :blink:If you wrote the song when you were 21 why would you include the lyric I'm 22 now?

That throws up further questions to me though🤣 what was the oiginal lyric before he recorded it? On subsequent live  performances did he adjust it? Thatswithout even contemplating Kirsty McCol's cover version 😣

Holy 💩! How did I miss that!!! 😳

"Leaves That Are Green" by Simon and Garfunkel, obviously written by Simon as they were.

This blew my mind as well. I'm a big Paul Simon fan and picked up the Sounds of Silence album for a couple quid. This particular song is track 2 and I couldn't believe it when I heard it!

Anything by neil diamond.

"I am"... I said
To no one there
And no one heard at all
Not even the chair

Sweet caroline was about his wife Marcia,  but he needed 3 syllables and  Marcia didn't fit
