Good chance of winning the euros?

It'll be tough, Spain have the best team on paper but haven't really clicked as well as you'd expect yet. France have some quality players too but we're in with a shout at least, home field advantage always helps.

Women's Euro 2022: England matches and Wembley final sold out - BBC Sport

England's three group matches at the Women's European Championship - and the final at Wembley - have sold out.

Manchester United's Old Trafford is hosting the opening ceremony on 6 July, followed by England against Austria in the 73,200-capacity stadium.

More than 30,000 fans will then watch England play Norway in Brighton and Northern Ireland in Southampton.

The final, at Wembley on 31 July, is set to break the attendance record for a women's football match in England.

The current record is the London 2012 Olympics final when the United States beat Japan in front of 80,203 spectators.

All 87,200 tickets have been sold for the Euros Wembley final.

Just stuck on BBC2 ahead of the snooker and noticed the England Ireland 6 nations match was at Welford Road. Looks pretty full, anyone here at it?

I didn't know she was from Leicester. A superb player, I was really impressed with her kicking.

Already seeing a difference under the new England gaffer, under Neville we just seem to go side ways instead forwards he was pretty much picking up the hard work from the previous manager which was of course bully boy Mark Sampson.

French crowd booing is starting to get on my wick. Every time a decision goes against them... not the ref's fault if the French women are making mistakes.

Physical game, as expected, but England showing the greater control and deservedly ahead.

Is there a way where the Sarina Weigman can swap jobs with Gareth Southgate, honestly at least she's shows she deserves to be a top international coach.

She's probably overqualified at this point lol

Just shows though when a foreign coach is mentioned about managing the England... everyone straight away plays that down reminding fans of Sven and Capello. Point taken but saying that under Sven we didn't actually lose that many games. I think out of 60 games he managed he only lost 5. While Southgate has lost more. Capello had a sulking dressing room to deal with and left before his second tournament.

The womens have just appointed have just appointed a foreign coach and seem to have progressed compared Neville who had no experience or qualifications to take the top coach.

In fairness that camp in South Africa was a disaster. He was too much of a disciplinarian and allowed next to no freedom. All the players could do was let the tension build in the hotels with not a lot to do and no visits from family.

Apparently during that World Cup, Jermain Defoe watched Wayne Rooney's entire wedding video (stop it ) to stave off the boredom.

Capello was an awful England coach.

I agree maybe Capello was a strange choice anyway due to the fact he didn't speak a word of English and never worked in England before. Just a shame we never got Jose in 2007 as he was at his peak at the time and at least he had the experience of managing in England and knew the players.

Yeah there were various times when the likes of Wenger and Mourinho have been linked with the England job and I'm sure they both would have done well for different reasons. I'm wholly on board with non-English coaches managing England. But, yeah, as good a manager as Capello was, he was just the wrong choice.

Anyone else think it's a little odd that there are no euro 2022 games in the midlands?  Manchester/Greater Manchester have got 3 host grounds, even Rotherham have got one (great way to sell the country to the rest of europe...come to rotherham). Just seems a strange choice when we have better stadiums in the midlands without any hosting a single game.

City Ground were picked as a host originally then pulled out, is a surprise though, fair few WSL/Championship clubs either in the Midlands or use stadiums in the Midlands (Sheff United at Chesterfield) and England have used the Pirelli & Bescot before
