BR will say after the game that the starting eleven was the best he could do with the state of those on the bench 

 

whether that’s genuine or tactical ahead of Tuesday, none of us know 

 

also take into account that plenty of those out there today have only had a couple trading sessions in two weeks

The league has already said 14 fit players and you have to play.

players returning from covid/injury have hardly trained so would be a big risk starting them when not fit and picking up more injuries. Rodgers gets stick for rushing players back from injury but he's done the right thing on this occasion.

Your being a bit naive here you won’t get a points deduction, you put an application in postpone the game if it’s turned down based on all the evidence you play, if it’s accepted you don’t.  We didn’t put an application in.
