Tours and Transfer with SeaninRome

Recommended Posts

That sounds perfect for pre/post match...can you confirm whether the bookings can be done separately...5 of us would be interested in the coach transfer to and from the game but probably not the tours. We've all been to the stadium/Rome previously to watch England so the tour isn't really of interest but the coach transfer would be a great idea for match-day/night.

We are thinking of staying in Villa Borghese/Via Veneto area near Piazza delle Canestre...is this convenient for the pick up/drop off area for the pre/post match transfers?

Thanks in advance Sean

Four of us in similar situation.  Interested in getting to and from the stadium for the match but not necessarily the other tours.

Hi Foxes,

Hope you are all well and enjoying your Easter weekend!

We will be running 2/3 buses to and from the Stadium with a police escort on Match day aswell as a Morning (2hrs) historical city center guided tour.

Wednesday afternoon there will be a return trip for a stadium tour.

All my details will be up here later and if you have any questions please pm me.

Everything will be professionally and legitimately done with insurance through my agency https://citylightstours.com/

I’d be interested in knowing a bit more about this Sean, particularly transfers

Yes,the options will be there to choose from.

Piazza delle Canestre is departure point for the comune di Roma(standing) buses but drop off is not always there. It will depend on the result and gatherings  afterwards and sometimes the police drops everyone at Termini station.

Our buses will leave from the Vatican Area, pass through Piazza della Canestre for control and then have the escort to the stadium. After the game it’ll be up to the police and our last stop will be the Vatican after a stop in either Termini or where the police decide to take us first.

As always we will communicate with police on a weekly basis here in Rome and will constantly update or guests with change in times and/or itineraries.

Thanks Sean…definitely interested in the transfer x5, and we’ll alter our accommodation. Would Vaticano Prati or Trionfale area work for proximity to transfer?

If you’ve a good priced hotel or B&b booked check a new place first before canceling.

The prices are through the roof that week.

Those coming in groups of 3+ should also consider a nice hotel down on Via Aurelia or anywhere a little outside. Probably half the price, bigger rooms, staff in better moods and then splitting a taxi in and out of the center once a day could work out much cheaper than staying in center that week.

Tentatively booked a place on Viale Vaticano Sean as assumed that would be the area where you do the tours and transfers from?

The walking tour will start close to the colosseum and then finish at the Vatican.

Both the stadium tour and match day transfers will be leaving from the Vatican Area.

Specific meeting points will be giving in private messages to only those who book, this is to cut out any spy’s 😉

Not wishing to distract you @SeanInRome nor tempt fate, but would a trip of yours from Italy be doable for Tirana?

Cheaper and more frequent flights from.UK for us than to Albania......so, meet a bus of yours in Rome or in Ancona,  overnight ferry to Durres and your bus onwards to and from ground

That would be a fantastic idea! I will look into it as I’ve some good contacts also in Albania.

Flights to Rome,4hour bus to Bari, the ferry boat across the Adriatic and the bus  down to the stadium.

I’ll look into it and get back to you ASAP. Let me just reply to one of these 1,000 messages 😂

@SeanInRome will your bus transfer drop us close to the away fans entrance or do we all get out near the stadium and are immediately obvious as Lcfc fans  (in relation to any Roma ultras who are looking for trouble)?

The bus will join to official escort I would imagine so it will be into the away area
