I assume there are as many hanging around on the Friday to see the sights as there are arriving on the Wednesday

@SeanInRome - might be worth offering the Thursday walking tour on Friday aswell. I would have two for it !!

Great Idea 👍🍺

Friday maybe the Vatican,Sistine Chapel and St.Peters Tour or City center with some beer stops can work but I didn’t want to put to much options up here Incase people take it the wrong way.(Always 1 😉)

Closer to the date I’ll definitely put up another option or 2 and if anyone is looking for something that’s not on my website just drop me a pm!

Out of curiosity what’s the difference between SeaninRome match transfers and the ones we will be getting for free off the club? More pick up/drop off points?

I was wondering the same thing.

And it seems that after the match...whether you want to or not...all away fans get put on to buses by police, and taken back to the centre (near station).

Probably less chance of getting snarled up by Italian cops, battered, ambushed etc. private transfer with local guide is bound to be quicker and easier than an official transfer

How long does it take from pick up point Sean to get to the Stadium?  And is there anywhere to get food/drinks before the match.

Probably an hour but we will also have to stop for a control by the police. We might also have to stop to collect tickets. We will keep all our travelers up to date on any changes.

Yes,the options will be there to choose from.

Piazza delle Canestre is departure point for the comune di Roma(standing) buses but drop off is not always there. It will depend on the result and gatherings  afterwards and sometimes the police drops everyone at Termini station.

Our buses will leave from the Vatican Area, pass through Piazza della Canestre for control and then have the escort to the stadium. After the game it’ll be up to the police and our last stop will be the Vatican after a stop in either Termini or where the police decide to take us first.

As always we will communicate with police on a weekly basis here in Rome and will constantly update or guests with change in times and/or itineraries.

@SeanInRome If we were dropped off at Termini or wherever they decide by the police on the standing buses, what would be the best way to get back towards Spanish Steps area? By taxi? Cus it would only be a couple of us so not ideal to walk.

If you are with my bus I’d suggest the Vatican drop off as it’ll be easier to get a taxi! If you go with the stadium buses you’ll need patience and to be careful of taxis over charging at Termini.(supply and demand)

Uber is also possible but they’ll be flat out.

@SeanInRomeIs there any scope for getting back to Fiumicino Airport after the game as we're staying at the Hilton there that night? If not, how would you recommend getting there after drop off from your coach?

Taxi would be the only way unless you’d want to hang around drinking and get the first bus at 4.45am

Hi Sean, I’ve just booked for 3 for the transfer. Looking forward to seated luxury, no queues and a quick get away back to the relative safety of the Vatican.
