Id love to know which tifo they looked at and thought "nah we'll get some corporate shite made"  and who actually made the decision

There will be umpteen clubs now seeing all these catalogue displays that you buy in and like 60 minute makeover its all done for you.

 

Double sickening for the clubs with groups who get shunned to put it respectfully.

Saw a post on Reddit concerned about the club using it to sell their JV9 brand. It's something I hadn't even considered, just assumed it would be corporate tosh

Statement released over Vardy tribute

It’s the big story of the week and potentially of the season: this Sunday, Vardy plays his final match for City at the King Power Stadium.

Everybody associated with the club will want to be the perfect sign-off, and so for Ruud van Nistelrooy and the City squad, it means ensuring the number nine gets as many chances to get goal number 200 as possible.

In the stands, fans will want to pay their tributes, but supporters group Union FS have released a statement saying they will not be able to produce the display they had wanted to.

The group have previously organised tifos in the Kop and around the King Power Stadium, including for Vardy at the end of last season, when it wasn’t clear if the striker would remain with the club.

This year, they say their request has been denied because the club themselves are planning a tribute. A smaller tribute in the Union FS section of the Kop was also rejected, with the fan group feeling the club’s counter-proposal “would not do Vardy justice”.

Announcing their “disappointment”, Union FS said: “We honoured Vardy at the end of last season, when it was unclear as to whether he would ever play for us again.

“But the man deserves unending thanks from us for the memories he has brought to our city since 2012, and we had proposed a full-stand display in the Kop to do just that.

“Our request was rejected on the basis that the club will move forward with a club-funded, agency-provided display to cover the whole stadium. Our position will never change: tifo by fans, not hired hands.”

As well as a display before the match, further tributes are planned after full-time against Ipswich, with the club set to recommend fans stay in their seats to join in the goodbye to Vardy.

Somehow The FA have let Forza Gimpaldi do a display for the England game at Forest in two weeks.

Doesn't surprise me. Greg is an attention seeking knobhead who was in a corporate box for their cup semi final despite banging on about "fan culture". 

 

Also walked past Duffys this season and was clocked by some of the lads, surprisingly didn't want to stop for a chat and back up his chat he loves to give out on twitter.

FG don't even get the scene. Sending your tifo designs to the printers would have proper groups in Europe pissing themselves with laughter.

We can post tomorrow and they will be with you by the weekend.

Or to be really sure chuck a few quid more on the tifo fund part of the link and we will get them on next day if needed.

More bothered about his air time on The Overlap. 
 

FG are nearer to a supporters trust than a fan group IMO
 

Going to be hilarious when a relatively small club turn up there and take the piss, someone like Djurgarden or similar

I enjoyed him saying on The Overlap, he’d rather Forest got a Champions League spot over winning the FA cup because they could then build themselves into a top 4 club.
 

Was properly patronising towards the FA Cup too. Well, doesn’t matter what you’d pick pal because you got ****ing nothing. You won’t find a more delusional fanbase.

I've said on numerous threads now that they don't inhabit the same world as the rest of us. They'll look back on 7th as a miracle season in the next few years.
