Under southgate, we would be 0-0 here with barely any chances, Latvia have actually defended very well, been well organised, but we kept getting crosses in, kept moving the ball and never stopped causing problems.

It’s easier now he is at Munich and playing his best football ever

Can’t believe how wrong I’ve been about a player. When he was with us I didn’t think he’d ever make it as a Premier League player.

His goal record is astonishing. Can’t not be recognised as one of the best English strikers ever. And still doing it. How’s he able to get more than 20 goals in season before mid-October?

It’s literally haaland, Messi and Ronaldo numbers… it’s stupendous. He shouldn’t have stayed at spurs for so long, but I think because of his style he still has another 5/6 years at the top and he looks after himself. You can see that being at a truly top team like Munich how much it has improved him too. He still had great numbers at spurs, but he’s stepped up yet another level

This is not true, we swept teams like Latvia aside easily under Southgate too. But I agree this is a bit easier to watch.

I’m talking in the essence of the match, Latvia have defended well, been very disciplined. Trust me under Southgate we wouldn’t have been banging on the door anywhere near as much… it was slow and pedestrian

We will still get to the world cup and start claiming Kane is holding us back again. Combination of him being knackered come the end of the season and his style of play. At least Tuchel seems to recognise the type of players you need around him.

Everyone blames the best player, it’s been the English way all my life, I ignore it

Decent result this

So many games in years gone by, we win this 1-0 with a Kane (p)

Yeah not seeing any fear of these players trying stuff, they look goes as they do for their clubs. Confident, willing to try things
