Super_horns Posted 14 October 2025 Posted 14 October 2025 Very comfortable and easy for England again. Last two qualifiers have been much better .
JonnyZeroFox Posted 14 October 2025 Posted 14 October 2025 (edited) Under southgate, we would be 0-0 here with barely any chances, Latvia have actually defended very well, been well organised, but we kept getting crosses in, kept moving the ball and never stopped causing problems. When he was with us I didn’t think he’d ever make it as a Premier League player. His goal record is astonishing. Can’t not be recognised as one of the best English strikers ever. And still doing it. How’s he able to get more than 20 goals in season before mid-October? Edited 14 October 2025 by when_you're_smiling

How’s he able to get more than 20 goals in season before mid-October? It’s literally haaland, Messi and Ronaldo numbers… it’s stupendous. He shouldn’t have stayed at spurs for so long, but I think because of his style he still has another 5/6 years at the top and he looks after himself. You can see that being at a truly top team like Munich how much it has improved him too. He still had great numbers at spurs, but he’s stepped up yet another level Edited 14 October 2025 by JonnyZeroFox 2

This is not true, we swept teams like Latvia aside easily under Southgate too. But I agree this is a bit easier to watch. 1

Trust me under Southgate we wouldn’t have been banging on the door anywhere near as much… it was slow and pedestrian
Super_horns Posted 14 October 2025 Posted 14 October 2025 Qatar have actually qualified by right this time .
JonnyZeroFox Posted 14 October 2025 Posted 14 October 2025 Cape Verde too.. going to be some interesting groups
RowlattsFox Posted 14 October 2025 Posted 14 October 2025 We will still get to the world cup and start claiming Kane is holding us back again. Combination of him being knackered come the end of the season and his style of play. At least Tuchel seems to recognise the type of players you need around him.
JonnyZeroFox Posted 14 October 2025 Posted 14 October 2025 Under Tuchel the ball just gets moved around quickly, you see way more crosses, and forward moving balls. It’s what we need with this group of players, they are all capable

Everyone blames the best player, it’s been the English way all my life, I ignore it
JonnyZeroFox Posted 14 October 2025 Posted 14 October 2025 Every player seems comfortable on the ball, and don’t mind trying that dangerous through ball.. sideways and backwards has gone totally now
The Year Of The Fox Posted 14 October 2025 Posted 14 October 2025 Decent result this So many games in years gone by, we win this 1-0 with a Kane (p) 1

Confident, willing to try things
Super_horns Posted 14 October 2025 Posted 14 October 2025 Excellent team and squad no doubt who have a great chance in the USA. Big issue next summer will be the heat and travel I feel . 1
JonnyZeroFox Posted 14 October 2025 Posted 14 October 2025 (edited) Even 4 up, we are pressing, looking for that 5th not letting them breath… and there is the 5th wonderful performance Edited 14 October 2025 by JonnyZeroFox
