I am also sure I saw someone run past Vardy.

Yep. Done for pace on that long ball. We knew it would happen one day. :(

Interesting to see amartey as first choice change ahead of cags

Wasn't Cags only back in training (after another illness) on Friday? Dunno why he was in the bench then...

One thing I noticed is we seem to press higher, more aggressively and quicker.

I thought we were quicker/more purposeful generally. We were moving the ball around more quickly too. I've no problem with passing back and across so long as there's a bit of movement and pace to go with it. The stuff we have been guilty of in the past was possession for possession's sake, slow and ponderous with no bite.

Starting 11 and subs really highlight how poor our wide options are. Can’t be anyone at the club who is remotely happy with our squad heading into the season. Feels like we gambled on getting European revenue each season so gave contracts reflecting this, now a load of bad injuries and an 8th place finish has left us looking in a right mess. We looked decent in parts but need a win vs Brentford.

I was talking to my Dad and My Son about this on the drive in to the stadium..... who are our "game changers" on the bench??  we don't really have any... IF Praet goes.... then we have Perez starting and albrighton to come on as a forward option.... Kel or Daka become more of a like for like with Vardy...   midfield.... Sourmare / Mendy.... there is nothing in our sub options, that give us something different... shows how criminal our recruitment has been really...

1) Can’t believe the attendance was so poor

2) We completely dominated play - either we’re amazing or Sevilla weren’t trying (or a bit of both)

3) We were wasteful with our finishing

4) Disappointed we didn’t get to see any youngsters, but I suppose that’s not what the game was about

5) Praet is still class

6) I’ve got a feeling Daka has moved up a level

Re. number 1, the kick-off time was poor. I live in Leeds. Was going to take my four year old grandson to his first match, but would have been too late for him. A friendly on a Sunday, why not 3pm?

The problem is how the games are reffed as well. Bookings aren’t dished out like they will be come the weekend and for a hour the Ref was very lenient, especially with the cynical little fouls stopping our breaks.  We basically didn’t get the protection you’d get in the Prem league. Some of the dirty fouls in that second half were horrendous for a so called friendly.  Leave playing Spanish sides in friendly games from now on.

Very little consequence of receiving a yellow as well, provided you're careful afterwards. It's not as though they're carried into the coming season. It allows everyone to get away with one.

Shout out to Sevilla's number 6. He blocked everything like a prime Wes Morgan.

Really impressed with that workout. Full control and lots of intense pressing. Worrying we are still picking up injuries constantly and sad news with Ricardo.

Lil Wes is a monster, KDH is the real deal and Iversen make Schmeichel's ball playing skills look next level.

It can't possibly be based "on today's performance" because Soumare did f-all tonight...

Made one decent run and didn't lose the ball too often, unlike Wilf. Difference is, of course when Wilf gets his sharpness back he is top class.
