You could see it coming. Madrid looked far more dangerous coming forward.

Man City are doing that Pep thing yet again and over-thinking the game. They look slow and ponderous so far.

No they aren't. They're playing one of the best teams in the world who are set up to ruin and are great on the counter, a weakness of Pep's style.

What is he OvErThInKiNg? You're just parroting generic stock twitter rubbish. He's playing pretty much his standard first 11 and normal tactics.

Tbf they have the "know how" when it comes to this kind of games. Not a fan of Real Madrid but even at their worst are capable to win european trophies.

Pep always has trouble with these games. Foden and Mahrez should have been in the first XI imo.

Man City need to be more direct. They are taking too long to get the cross in or to make the killer pass.
Pep has consistently suffered with Man City at this stage of the ECL by looking too much at how the opposition play. Man City need to up the tempo and put Madrid under more direct pressure. It’s too slow.

Big half coming up

Col giving advice to the best club manager of his generation there.

Which amounts to "get it in the mixer." Christ.

No need to be offensive mate. Just giving my view

One minute quick attacking full backs were essential and now we are starting to see the best teams not bothering with one of them. A trend Pep has started to be fair.

Man City will take 1-0 now.

Tbqh given that they've not played very well, they'd probably take this score line right now. Won't be the end of the world.

They're more than capable of hammering anyone at home.

Beautiful strike by KDB

Man City needed that, Madrid were taking over.

Now I think we’ll see Man City put them under lots of pressure.

Both managers afraid to make any subs?

Don't really know what either would want to change much. It's kinda going to plan for both of them. Nobody is playing terribly.

They might have both completely opposing tactical approaches but it's very finely balanced.

Admittedly I've only watched Madrid in the champion league but I'm sure it's the same players that always come off the bench...Ascensio, Nacho then Cebellos

Tactically, Ancelotti is a magician, he really is.

Haaland has been limited to so few chances so far. The supply has just been cut out

Surprised Bernardo Silva is still on the pitch and not either been sent off or subbed

That should've been his 2nd yellow, deserved one in the first half

Been pretty poor I think as well
