Don't agree their are better strikers then Matty Fryatt in that league who we would be able to afford .

11 goals this season although 6 are penalties in 21 games. Your right, even Oooh Tommy Wright has a better strike rate than Fryatt.

Peter Thompson from Linfield. He's 21 and has just made his International debut for Northern Ireland.

He's scored 27 goals in 27 games this season and scored the same amount in about 50 games last season.

Alot of league clubs are looking at him, I wonder whether we could get this lad in? We certainly could do with a striker who is on form when we buy him instead of players who haven't scored for ages. I know the level of football is different, but i've read reports from Sanchez and Iain Dowie who think he could easily make the grade in England.

The price wouldn't be too expensive, max 300k maybe?

I'd love him here, international, 21, good goalscoring record - fits the bill perfectly. But will Levein go for him?

He did go over to Northern Ireland and sign a few players when he was at Hearts so he might do. Any lad with a scoring record like that should be looked at, he's scored about 60 goals in a season and a half!

Though possibly northen ireland's level of football is poor we should get him over on trial first

He sounds very similar to Andy Smith. He had such a good record over in Northern Ireland for Glentoran then when he came to Preston he did nothing at all. He's now on loan at Motherwell.

I was consciously keeping tabs on the scores of the bottom three today.

That simply should NOT be the case.

Hmm I know what you mean... :ermm:

just cause i feel like adding to the unrealistic links, robbie fowler seems to be on his way from man city.

maybe in exchange for williams

Leveins had his time get him out and get someone else in. thats the only thing that will solve our crisis we need a manager to make the players play for there shirt

As I have commented, I hear Man City are going to offer 250k plus fowler for the rest of the season wages free.

Mystery bid for Kris Boyd from a Championship club?

Sorry if this had been posted elsewhere. So who could it be? Not us for starters, I reckon.

Probably not Cardiff as they've been named as having a bid turned down. Leeds and Reading have enough strikers. Sheff Utd are a possibility as Warnock has stated he wants another striker and they've got the cash from selling Gray.

My money's on Norwich. If Ashton's been "sold" already, they will have about £3-4M waiting to be spent. Or Saints if they cash in on Walcott.

The thing is I doubt Ashton will have been "sold" already.

It would not suprise me if it was Wolves.

A fee of 350k was accepted in the summer from Cardiff.

The Killie manager says that this offer is bigger than that , and with Boyd being out of contract come end of the season , I expect the bid will be around the 500k-600k mark.

I fricking hope that its us. I have'nt seen him play many times , but what ive heard of him is that he's a clynical finisher something that we desperately need.

We need someone to take the all the pressure and expectancy off of Hume , 'cos lets face it , Hammond is not a 20 goal a season striker.

Id like to see Elvis moulded into a winger , he has the pace and is good around the box.

I'll just throw this one in - it won't happen because CL is happy with his keepers.

Russell Hoult? Available from West Brom in January allegedly. Solid keeper, Leicester connections. The Hot Dog Kid!
