January Targets

Well seeing as davieG's closed thread went waaaay off topic, I figured we needed a new one.

I've just read about Pearson being unsettled and ready to move on from Celtic, and we all know of CL's willingness to get players from Scotland, so is he possibly one of the 4 players Levein's looking at? I remember Ric mentioning him a couple of months back, and we do need strengthening in midfield, especially if Wilcox leaves and Smith doesn't extend his loan stay.

Do you have any good guesses who the 'fantastic four' might be?

Might aswell be the actual fantastic four for all the effect the signings are going to be this season. I'd just like to see a couple of already established players who will feature heavily.

January Targets?????

Getting Lee Morris and James Wesolowski fit would be a good start. Two new players!!!!

Well Weso being fit is likely, but there is no need to go into fantasy land :D

We were after Pearson when he went to Celtic weren't we?

Under Adams we had a £250,000 bid turned down for him, but then Celtic signed him for less about a month or so later! He's a quality player, but his attitude and temper is questionable. Levein will know whether he's anygood or not, not going to be a patch on Smith but he might ease the pain on the left wing when Smudger goes back to Arsenal.

You forget to mention Zagorakis this time.... :P

Or did you just mix the letters up a bit and come up with Gregorz Rasiak?

Now that is funny lollollol

Sam Ricketts - Young 23 year old left back for Swansea. 6 Wales Caps. Shouldn't be too expensive

Arturo Lupoli - loan - We have a friendship with Arsenal it seems, Lupoli would want first team football, they might want him to get some experience. The perfect combination!

what do people think of matty fryatt from wallsall

Last season he was a good player in a poor team this season hes knocking even more in. Walsall cant hold onto him for much longer surely.

Hmmm. Young, international, a full-back? We should get him and then NEVER play him. Because that's what we do with ALL our young international full-backs.

could we afford him?

could we afford him?

Probably not, like I said, he looks good in a poor Walsall team. Someone will take a chance on him but it wont be us.

If we got Smith on loan till the end of the season that would be a major boost to our season, we could also do with a midfielder who can score more & a striker. I think to improve on the players we have at the moment the board might need to get their cheque books out though.
