I’m indifferent to Kante to be honest. I don’t dislike him for going to Chelsea, he was completely transparent, insisted on a release clause in his contract and left with a minimum of fuss. He’s won the Premier League, Champions League and World Cup since.

But I will always find it incredibly sad that a player would leave the Champions for any reason.

I still have the belief that had we managed to keep him and the rest of the team, for one more season, added a couple of more players wisely, that with our unique style at that time, we could have at least made the semi's of the Champions League. Whilst people knew what we were doing, they seemed powerless to stop it. Nobody would have wanted to draw us. We just didn't conform to type.

I think we’d have gotten figured out eventually, but we made it to the quarters without him so it’s not impossible.

excuse my ignorance ,so that makes us a feeder club to chelsea wasnt the clause 28m and then chelsea upped it to 32m when other clubs started to sniff about, also where is this information about was not going to move to any club but chelsea or any of the other facts that you stipulate, i have been following leicester far too long to go along with the nice guy only ever wanted to play for chelsea garbage that you are spewing out, i realised that our three best players from that season were going to move on (well one of them stayed and that says so much about him) but after waiting decades for us and never dreaming it could happen we won the league, like i said to all my mates just give us one year see how we do in the champions league, he could not wait to leave , now you can cheer him from the rafters if you like

, but i for one will not i know the damage he did to the club that season as we struggled to find a replacement, one season thats all in the champions league ,loyalty lol

It was stated & mentioned right at the beginning..I ain't spewing anything, not my fault you didn't follow the story from the beginning...plus I am too old & too tired..to start spewing make believe...

And like superman I don't lie, plus I see you are wearing blue underwear...

I am on the Leicester site, and mainstream football sites everyday, out of the cloud of BS & noise, come hard fact statements...The Kante entrance to the PL went back at least a year...

His agents and his own demeanor, was somehow/,someeway he would leave France only for Chelsea though open to

indirects ways to get there, but always Chelsea in short succession...

You not me..go and find the early links.

I already did my homework & reading...

Why the hots for Chelsea...no idea, other players from African nations  has kids have their individual  aspirations....!!

Agents are more than willing to go head hunting through Europe, for those African-stars that show & proved they have that something special...are easy found..but like Kante have their own stipulations..!!

40 appearances for us. 262 appearances for Chelsea. He will be known as an ex Chelsea player long after he's retired.

Love the man. One of my all time favourite players.

Not about your blue underwear…nor Kantes’s early club aspirations, and reporting thereof :P

you will usually find that people who think they know everything usually know very little and put on a pretence of knowing far more than they actually do, and then resort to name calling or the equivalent, we need facts not the i heard it from the window cleaner who knows the butchers wife who heard it from the hairdressers assistants boyfriend

Have to agree. I don't think Kante would've made that much of a difference the following season really. Our problem under Ranieri the following season was much more the fact that we just couldn't score rather than defensively and we turned into a bit of an 11-men-behind-the-ball side. I'm not really sure Kante was the solution to that problem, to me the biggest thing we needed was just to get Vardy more central instead of running into the channels and giving Mahrez more freedom again. I also think we'd kind of been figured out tactically by that point as well, with or without Kante.

One of the best to wear our shirt. Every game I couldn't believe what I was watching. I have no idea how PSG missed such a worldie right under their noses.

I am talking about the early massives connection story..then the quietening down, from media, but then a French interview with Kante and his aspirations, also reported and followed the Leicester side…

But your right…it was the butchers wife who told of the window cleaner having unfair advantages due to his ladder, and reaching where others couldn’t reach..

I just followed the official reports, and as Kante joined Leicester..the club mentioned the 1-2 frist & clause…So nothing special nor untoward.

The hairdressers assistant boyfriend actually knew FA,because he couldn’t be bothered to concentrate on clubs-press release when Kante signed..,,

It was the best kept open secret…some are just too slow on the pick up..:dunno:

Ranieri he also made some other points on commitment…at the time..

Maybe only one season, but history showed the lad delivered, and Kante was always up front about his near future ,but to be fair Kante was left alone by media  to do his business..,,Ranieri did try his best to hold onto him, with that open 2nd year, but Kante was determined to go….but without rocking any boats…

I dont believe I know, I like many others just accepted it…

No new storey or claims..

My last courtious words on the issue, because old old history..
