Maybe I’ll get pelters but I think that’s a pretty fair interview about the current situation- we absolutely 100% need to get behind the club and team and he is part of that wether we like it or not - so we need to now get on with it and start picking up some points

On one hand I completely agree. But I also think we are just kicking the can down the road for the next injury crisis he causes or meltdown in results. Say we all get behind him, and we now win 3 on the bounce and get a couple of draws. Great he buys himself more time, we meander around mid table for a few months, then we have another meltdown again, then what? Our best players want to leave and we now absolutely nobody wants our fringe players on long contracts.

How much backing can we give Rodgers after 18 months of largely dreadful football, when he took over we had one of the most promising under 25 squads in Europe. Soyuncu, Chilwell, Perreira, Barnes, Maddison, Ndidi, Tielemans (on loan in talks to sign permanently). We had Maguire, Evans, brought in Fofana, Vardy was playing well. Fast forward 3 years and we are playing like a championship side at times, Tielemans is crap, Perreira injured again, Barnes takes players on but looks like a headless chicken most of the time, Ndidi has gone from 2 consecutive seasons with the most tackles and interceptions in Europe to looking like he couldn't tackle me, Soyuncu can't get on the pitch when he was a 60-80m defender at his peak, now he's behind Amartey, we have AMARTEY starting games, multiple injury crisis moments, a wage bill 105% of revenue until recently. The first 18 months of Rodgers reign we were in such a strong position, now we are a mess, and that started with capitulation on the pitch, and was made worse with blowing money on complete garbage, and turning existing stars into championship fodder.

He's not solely to blame, but he has to take a big chunk of that responsibility. All he does is try to shift the blame to anyone but himself week in week out.
I want him to succeed, I really do, but how long does he get before it's too late and we undo years of progress? Sometimes you have to rip the plaster off. 18 months of horrid football and no signs of change.

Deffo this for me, I think it’s a matter of when not if with Rodger’s getting sacked but in the mean time I reckon we should appreciate our FA cup win, Europe and understand some of the signings he made haven’t worked out, that there have been some difficult circumstances and we both need to move on to pastures new, but in the meantime let’s get behind the lads.

If I hear him say once more we have to be better on the ball, I gonna drive to Seagrave and drop a ton of balls on him.

Our issues are down to what we do without the ball, our shape is poor in and out of possession, we don't work hard enough, we don't complete enough sprints, our pressing is non-existent, as is our movement off the ball in possession.

We are risk adverse, we get to the edge of the box and because we can't find a safe pass we got back and recycle to the other wing and then repeat the process, we will put the ball at risk by crossing. On the odd occasion we do, it just generally Vardy in the box.

I nothing to do with personnel, it do to coaching.

So bloody moaning and get coaching.

Exactly. Until we see actual evidence on the pitch of a change in approach and set-up it'll be more media soundbites that exist to fill space.

Agent Rodgers in full flow there.  Now he's putting it back on the fans.  If it continues to go badly, he'll blame

Completely predictable, he's had a go at the players, the board and now it's our turn. God forbid anybody asks what Rodgers and his staff are doing in training day in and day out. He's turned us into the most static and boring team imaginable. If we create 1 good goal scoring chance per game, we're doing well.

I used to love Brendan but I've never known such a selfish manager, at any club, let alone LCFC. The way he is absolving himself of any responsibility.....it's incredible. Never known a manager care so little about the club he works for.

I can only imagine the players are absolutely sick of his bullshit, in the same way the fans are. I detest that his new narrative is that he's doing LCFC a huge favour by staying and soldiering on dispite this awful situation that has been foisted upon him. That if he keeps us up, it will be yet another Brendan miracle.

It will be massive relief to all when he does finally go.

Soccer Saturday | How culpable is Brendan Rodgers for Leicester's slump?

Jeff Stelling and Clinton Morrison question how much blame Brendan Rodgers should take for Leicester's slump as some players are playing out of position.

The aftermath of the way he has acted this summer may make any intention of putting the disappointment of the financial woes behind him and finding a new zest to lead this club. You simply cannot go from being a diplomatic and placid talker in the press, to what we've heard at the end of last season and this summer without some damage being caused.

These players have had knock after knock from him where previously he would never ever embroiled in any controversial talk about his players. A bond is likely broken and although the struggles of last season were frustrating, the players still largely believed in him. I think that's in jeopardy, if not already broken beyond repair.

The only slight chance he has of turning this around is building a siege mentality but why he's wasted a month at the start of the season in doing this indicates its too late and he can't. He most certainly can't and won't if he still has any bitterness or deflation, it just won't work. It's so difficult for managers to maintain effectiveness for more than a few seasons in the most brutal league in Europe, without going in to the issues with failing to strengthen that the very least we should be competitive and we really aren't right now and that's why he is hugely under pressure and his time really ought to be up.

If this team can punch above its weight and finish 5th and 5th with disappointing finishes, then what we are doing right now is huge underperformance and no other club who challenged the top 4, who were top of the league halfway through the season a few years ago would the manager get away with what Brendan currently has.

Shape up or off you go Brendan. Tomorrow is his biggest game of his entire career, there's no time or margin for error for the man.

Show some passion Brendan and be prepared to accept faults instead of looking to blame others and you'd not be in this mess.
