There's a real mutual loathing between Faes and the club's fans. Mental that he still gets picked every week.

I can't wait to see the back of him.

Ruud plays him every week. Why? Please can someone provide a reason that makes any sense He is poor and has an an attitude problem and has made it clear he has no future here. Fine. Train on your own mate and so long!

Look at his positioning for the first goal.

He’s marking absolutely no one. Also, Coady and his “leadership ability” can do one…he can see everything in front of him yet is on his heels and not commanding at all.

I will never ever fail to be staggered at the amount of space opposition players find in this exact position against us. So easy to get in that gap between defence and attack because absolutely all parties are braindead..

Completely agree.

Makes you wonder what they do in training.

Soumare as a DM though doesn’t help and Ndidi is a shell of his former self.

What happened to making it difficult to defend the 18 yard box.  Faes needs to be on the edge of the six yard box so he can get out to the ball cut back.  The two mannequins that are our cdms aren’t working hard enough to defend the box either. Mads should be shouting and organising as well so collectively it’s 2/3 yards too deep from the back two.

Worst centre back in our history. I’ll never forget how many people were all over this lad after we got spanked by Spurs. He is a major reason we’ve been so bad recently.

He just needs to leave at this point.  I've just watched the goals back and the third, for me, is the most comical of the lot.  He has at least a 5 metre head start over the guy who eventually scores and there you see him with one of his trademark sprints towards our goal line and you know what's coming next lol

It's comedy at this point, I couldn't care less.  Just leave.  And take your arm flapping with you!

This one above is on Soumare for me initially.  He makes no effort whatsoever to track the guy who scores.  Shocking.

I get Faes is the pantomime villain but I’m surprised there’s not been equally scathing analysis of Podcast Coady for his performance v Wolves in his own thread. Terrible positioning and defending for the 2nd and 3rd goals.

I’m not Faes’ biggest fan like the rest, but in all fairness I can’t see how he is to blame for this and don’t think his positioning is too bad.

The issue starts when we are torn apart in a 3v2 out wide. Ndidis defending is shocking by cutting off the pass to go back rather than the pass on the inside to make it a 2v1. Soon as they have played the pass in behind from there we are in big trouble. Ricky P initially goes with the runner (correct decision) before then closing down the space/player on the ball

The biggest culprit in all the goal then being scored is Soumare - he has not tracked his man and is marking nobody in the 18 yard box.

Collectively between Ndidi and Soumare they have killed us with that goal both at separate occasions. Even by the still shot of the goal, both of them are all over the place.

The defence has a lot to answer for but with such poor protection in front of it, it’s going to get exposed

Our midfield is too passive and slow. Successful teams generally have a dynamic, aggressive and fitter midfield, and our midfield is none of these. You are right, this is massively help our defence, which is poor anyway!

All good points but Coady/Mads who can see it pan out in front of them…need to move Faes on (edge of the 6 yard box) as on that still….he’s neither picking up Cunha or making the pass harder by cutting down the angle.

Soumare and Ndidi as you say were/have been hideous all season too yet not had the same level of disdain on here.

I just think if you go on Wout’s agents comments about “his amazing anticipation” then he has to be much less passive in that position.

I’m not quite sure on that one tbh, in the initial build up out wide both CB’s are occupied by 2 wolves players. Personally I wouldn’t want my CB going out there when we are so unorganised to try and win the ball and he is also marking a man as the ball is played in behind. At the point of the ball getting played across he is protecting the front post from a ball played across and to block the wolves CF who has ran between Faes and Coady.

Ultimately it’s lazy play by Soumare, Ndidi and also FB (who is close to Cunha when he begins his run) that has killed us. An oppositions attacking midfield should not be running into the 18 yard box with nobody tracking or close enough to challenge.

In all fairness, I do believe Faes is a front footed defender which is where he is glossing on the ‘interceptions’, he’s just not very good at it and definitely doesn’t help when collectively we are so poor out of possession

Reckon it is agree to disagree.

Having played as a CM and CB, I can see what you’re talking about but you make it sound like a player like Coady or Mads who can see it all happening in front of them doesn’t/can’t talk to Wout.

Coady needs to move him on to Cunha when he spots that he hasn’t been picked up by lazy Bouba.

To be fair, I guess that I’m actually as annoyed at Coady too.

Collectively it’s poor all over and just highlights how bad we are.

We’re discussing a lot of things tactically but when you strip it back it’s down to communication and work rate.

A lot of these players have been playing together for 2-3 seasons in this formation and for the fact we struggle to have any form of organisation and work rate is an absolute sh!tshow, they look like a bunch of players who have just been thrown together. Can’t wait to see these players and RvN gone. If the board struggle to recognise all of this then they can go too because this isn’t the Leicester City I recognise or love

There seems to be a lot of people assuming that this massive abortion of a defender will be off in the summer but I just don't see where this optimism comes from. We couldn't shift him last time and his stock will have fallen even lower since then. I fear we're stuck with him.

He had two years extra on his book value last time, so we would have had to sell him for about £12m to break even.

Pretty sure we can sell him for about £6m in the summer.

Rough estimates, not sure on actual figures.
