Don't disagree that more need to be louder, but a different songbook needed against Forest and there'd have been 1000+ ready to join in. I love the effort UFS make week in week out, just felt like the group treated tonight like any other game unlike last time we played them. I'm a member and always sit in SK1 or G1 because I love the effort made by the boys and girls in UFS.

What should they have sung then?

Sometimes I don’t know why UFS bother in that corner, any noise they make is basically ignored by the thousands of miserable old gits or twats on their phones all game. The old cvnts behind me were still moaning and not joining in when we were top of the league FFS

The weirdos around me laugh at people who try and start some songs.

I’ve sat in the East Stand all my life and there genuinely is never any atmosphere. Just old sour-faced 70 year olds either moaning or telling you off for moaning cos we used to be in League One.

The people who used to join in next to me have been replaced by kids who are barely even watch the game who come with their Mum who I’m not sure is actually even interested in football. Madness. I’ve never felt so disinterested in this club.

I'll say it again. The section is a complete myth.

UFS and a handful in the rest of the block.

Not the fault of the guys at the front but it really is absolutely shit in the rest of it.

I'm surrounded by complete ****wits who are loudest when a pass goes astray.

Our supporters got absolutely ****ing nowhere near helping the team tonight, even at 1-1.

It's broken beyond fixing imo.

This is a great rant but the point you’re making was noticeable to me tonight. I sit in A1 and regularly look at the singing section, today it was clear only 20 people were singing and waving flags.

Didn’t think it was bad at all to be honest. Crap second half but that’s on the team.

Genuinely?

I'm amazed that anyone can come away from that thinking the atmosphere wasn't bad at all regardless of half.

I'm not sure the vast majority of fans deserve anything more than that result tonight if I'm honest.

One other thing that was insane to me was the sheer number of people leaving from 30.....yes 30 minutes to go and buy the garbage in the concourse.

Each to their own but **** me it was horrible to see.

Of course people are entitled to do what they want but people applauding that off is shameful.

Reminder that people applauded relegation.

Not one to hate on the UFS lads usually but fuvk me, some of the timings of certain chants at certain times are hilarious. And I know you’re going to say “why didn’t you start a chant then” I tried but when you have a big group at the front they’re obviously going to be starting it. You carry on a chant which clearly no one is joining in for a good ten minutes. And my oh my that flag on the front row. I’m usually alright with it as the chap knows when to put it down but fuvk me, he was having a field day with it today. Balls in the box for a dangerous attack and I’m looking at the back of a flag. As I said, I’m really not usually one to slag these boys off as they’re the only ones who try but they’ve had a shocker today imo

I thought first half was decent but second was awful. But it’s a low bar and it always will be until there’s a shift of mindset

Maybe it’s a reflection of what’s happening on the pitch. I thought Southampton away end first half was crap but outstanding second half.

Seems many of our fans need the players to lift them rather than the other way around.

I think that’s always been the way it is. Pretty much the same in all grounds round the country, it’s different in Europe but here it’s mainly related to what happens on the pitch. Unless the team is in a really good run of form, it’s always driven by the performance

We were loud when we were singing "When your Smiling" before kick-off. and then we were painfully quiet. At no stage did it feel like we were there ready to sing our hearts out regardless.

Its a cop out to blame Cooper for this as well, the fans were really flat considering we won two, are at home and against the neighbours. They hardly stopped singing, we couldnt be bothered (again)

Our biggest game of the season and people want the players to make them support the team from the off.

Its like the crowd don't even want us to win or at least don't care enough either way.

Celebration for the equaliser wasn't even good.

Entitled mentality from stagnant people

I was desperately trying to get a behind em at 1-1 from the back of G1, but I didn't know the words to whatever UFS were looping so packed in... on the plus side that was one of the loudest WYS renditions I've experienced

Hearing the opposition sing our managers name was horrid.

I know Wednesday sang a lot for Pearson but at least it didn’t include him “hating” us.

For anyone who reads my posts you’ll know that I’m most active in this subject and I’m all for the lads at the front.. you’ll also know I probably repeat the same old thing, but when I say the song book needs updating, tonight absolutely proved it.

i actually left early tonight, can’t remember in all the years whether I ever have. But from 87 mins and them rolling around on the floor I just couldn’t watch anymore.
within the first 10 mins and for come on Leicester boys to start was utterly embarrassing. 10 mins into a derby match, the kop end was silent, the east just sat there knocking their clappers, nobody could be bothered. People want safe standing but if that’s what’s going to happen with just people slouched against the railings then why bother?
im a massive fan of the lads down the front, they work non stop, gear everyone up and really do try BUT and there is a massive but after tonight, they’ve got to listen to feedback from others. They are over killing the songs massively and with that drum going constant it’s difficult for half way up to change the song.
i ain’t sure whether they think the section will join in more after the 20th time of the chant?
I really do like what they do but fans are suggesting songs in the topic but nothing new is coming out. I do get your trying the new ole song about the top 3 leagues but for the 10 mins and only 5 rows, me and a few others singing just behind you but the ground was silent?
what’s more embarrassing was apart from Jamie vardy who scored, mads Hermansen who made a save I don’t think any other player was sung..

Going to leave it there but sorry lads, tonight was a massive disappointment.. the whole kp was a shambles but something has to change. I get it that grounds are suffering but if we are around 20% of atmosphere on a night under the lights against forest then there is no hope..

I’m not so sure that was the case back in the day. Even when we were really shit in the 80’s I still remember us getting behind the team even when we were losing badly. Maybe rose tinted specs but I think we encouraged the team more back then because we were always the underdogs and starved of success.
I’m convinced our recent success has made some fans feel more entitled for the atmosphere to be driven from the pitch when it should also be the fans role to lift the players.
