I don't understand totally this but apparently that's the reason we have not bought any new players.

Fifty per cent of clubs are losing money and this is an increasing trend. We needed to stop this downward spiral. They have spent more than they have earned in the past and haven't paid their debts.

We are stuck because of the financial rules.

Top is attempting to balance out books.

It’s a line being parroted that isn’t true. Well true yet.

The FFP rules which we would be in breach of are for European competition. So if we qualified, we’d get punished.

It’s been rumoured and lined up that the PL will adopt the same rules. But that’s been bandied about for over half of a season now with no implementation

And therein lies the rub. We can't spend the money because we'll be punished if we are successful. UEFA and the 'big six' have completely rigged the system.

You said it. They've rigged it. But look at what's happened at Newcastle. Forest have spent wisely. Everton spent a fortune and look what shit they are in. It's a interesting season that's for sure!

Yeah but ultimately it also asks us to

1) up our revenue streams

2) control our wage bill

Failing on both currently

And Chelsea are doing this how?

Right, so who's to blame? Top could increase the price of season tickets to increase revenue. He hasn't. Without the Thais we'd never have won the prem. I think we all need to ride this Storm out and will hopefully come out stronger. There are a lot of headless chickens on here so it seems.....

Well mainly because they're a massive club with huge influence and the rules do not apply to them. But also because their commercial income is stratospheric, and they sign players on long term contracts (longer depreciation windows) and pay in installments

Many clubs including Chelsea/Everton and West Ham to a degree have far more expenditure over both of your points and are carrying on with their business. Ffp and Everton in particular have been stretching these limits far greater than we or other clubs have yet they still invest heavily in the squad. Imo it's the investment that's the problem not the wage structure and in any case lcfc are on the pinnacle and will significantly reduce our wage bill with outgoing players over the next 3 windows so again that's even less of an excuse not to invest in the squad.

Why? So called friend think a lot of s*** is posted on here. He's very knowledgeable on football, that's all I know. I'd go as far to call him a genius when it comes to LCFC and facts.

They beat us yesterday and are above us ATM . Troll?

Beating us yesterday doesn’t mean they have spent wisely. It means they won a football match.

It's not UEFA's fault we pay Vestegaard 70k a week.

Only a club's outgoings in transfers, employee benefits (including wages), amortisation of transfers, finance costs and dividends will be counted over income from gate receipts, TV revenue, advertising, merchandising, disposal of tangible fixed assets, finance, sales of players and prize money. Any money spent on infrastructure, training facilities or youth development will not be included.[48] The legislation currently allows for eight separate punishments to be taken against clubs transgressing the rules, based in order of severity: reprimand / warning, fines, points deduction, withholding of revenue from a UEFA competition, prohibition to register new players for UEFA competitions, restrictions on how many players a club can register for UEFA competitions, disqualification from a competition in progress and exclusion from future competitions.[49]

Clubs are permitted to spend up to €5 million more than they earn per assessment period (three years). However it can exceed that level to a limit if it is covered by a direct contribution from the club's owners
