The change of shape was just the momentum killer. It just allowed Chelsea to overrun us.

Dreadful. Had enough.

Was it a Starfish formation/shape?

We created enough to deserve something from the game. But Chelsea was clinical. And we had a useless keeper today.

If we had the penalty or KDH scored, we could have had a draw or even a win.

Even if we had made it 2-2 I feel we would have still gone on to lose the game.

Our back 5 are just to unorganized and BR taking Mendy off was a joke.

Mendy was awesome. He was the glue. He took it away and we fell apart.

Obviously. It was obvious. Mendy is obviously playing well. It was obvious he should stay on.

So obviously Rodgers took him off.

Yep. Had been completely on top for the previous  5-10 minutes at that point. Should have held off making any of them until Chelsea got back into it.

Making three changes just seemed like we had someone not watching the game phoning them in

I think we are getting closer to the sack but it will come too late. Won't be sacked after losing to Chelsea but losing before the international break next week might be the final coffin.

That wasn't your argument.

You stated it wasn't a red card.

It wasn't a red card no but it was a yellow card. As Faes was on a yellow card already he shouldn't be lunging in like that recklessly and rightfully so got a 2nd yellow.

Like I've said in another post the only person to blame here is the owners for allowing this circus to go on for so long.

It wasn’t reckless it was mistimed and hardly any contact whatsoever the Chelsea player made a meal of it to make it worse and Mariner obliged !

Yes Top and CO need to sort this mess out ASAFP we’re mathematically able to stay up we just need a manager with fight in his belly who will kick arse not blame someone else or just give In !

KDH missed a chance from about 6 yards out in the second half. Souttar had an opportunity blocked off the line.

ah must have been during one of the two dozen times my stream went down.

The players are just not good enough. Mostly Championship standard , don't see how a change of Manager will suddenly turn it around.

Our attacking play was good, we made lots of chances. Defence has cost us the game, that has definitely been doggo.

Doesn't matter if they struggled to score goals before, today Chelsea were very good going forwards. 600m of players helps you do that.

We go in at half time, or KDH scores his opportunity, we could have got something out of this game. We need to sort out the defence though, and maybe it's time to ditch the high line, because that's the root cause of our problems. The goal at half time was plain stupid though, no need to play that high at that point in the half.

I think we were a lot better today than last week... if that means anything.

If we score, the opposition tactics change which hopefully leaves space behind them for our forwards to take advantage. Then the confidence in the team changes.

Yep, and that's been seen in the few games we've won. But we concede way too many goals. When was the last time we had a clean sheet in the league? Have we even had one post World Cup?

Our season will be defined in games against Bournemouth, Leeds, Everton and West Ham. I'm not feeling confident
