No they have always allowed that in fairness. 
Finding spaces big enough to make them I reckon is our biggest hurdle.

Beach towels, I used to sell loads to fan groups etc .Although I don't do them myself anymore.

Not sure if you've seen it but there's an Etsy page called Graphibro who does his/their own stickers. A few more niche ones like the Enzo, KDH & Vardy ones might work or even do the designs on t-shirts? I've seen a lot of people comment on stuff like the "Maresca Exceptional" designs too, that sort of brand rebranded stuff.
