Don't really understand this love in for Cags.  He was dropped after feigning injury in a game that led directly to Spurs scoring.  Rodgers was right to drop him.  He deserved it.  What we don't know is how Cags reacted  to that.  He virtually never played for us again and that could be as much his fault as Rodgers if, as I suspect, he were too arrogant to accept it.

 

He had been in decline for us anyway and often needed his hand held during games.  He was pretty rubbish without Evans next to him.  Personally I will remember him for that extremely costly melt down v Bournemouth. 

 

Just  another one that sat out his contract, another one that let us down and another one that I will be glad to see the back of.  Couldn't care less what happens to him at Madrid.  Just go.

Considering the litany of falling outs that Rodgers has had all over the club in his 4 year stint here including the recruitment team and the medical team (two heads of the medical team left because of him) as well as how he would regularly throw the club under the bus in press conferences, you can see why fans readily side with Soyuncu despite not knowing exactly what happened between them. It's clear that Rodgers is a very difficult man to get along with.
