I have a sad, gloomy type of expression, even when I'm perfectly happy. I've only just realised I should have been a funeral director - in particular the guy who walks slowly in front of the hearse.

You're never too old to start a new 'career', study etc. - well one maybe is after they 55, as long as you're passionate about what you want to do and wish to take it on / do further study.

 

Admittedly, I'm 31 and still not sure whether career route to go with yet (although have some ideas).

You'd have made a fortune, people dying for you to do that.

I really needed to sort the garden out last weekend,  I went to the pub instead

Radio DJ back in the late 70's. It was my total aim. I thought I had a real talent having been a club DJ for several years. I had an audition for Piccadilly Radio (Manchester) but failed.

 

No regrets now, though. The career I fell into has been challenging but so much more rewarding.

I know a few people in their 50's who started new careers and were successful with it.  I absolutely believe, with the right application, you can do whatever you want.  Not easy - for sure, but definitely possible.

When I was 8, I wanted to be a Roman Soldier. Big fluffy Mohawk helmet and everything.  I even picked out a name. I was going to be called Markus.
