Quorn 6-0 Bedworth

Scoreline reflected the gulf between the sides at both ends of the table. Indeed it could and should have been more but for the semi-heroics of the Bedworth keeper. There have been worse sides that Bedworth at the Stotto this season.

Billy Kee showing his class the 1 change from last week by Manager Beswick paying dividends. Outstanding link up play and all three goals of high quality. GK Allsopp rarely called into action. Damage done after 18 minutes with Kee, Beswick and a cross shot from Notts County Academy start Burgess finding the top corner from just inside the byline. Alonzi continuing good form in front of goal finishing things off.

A sizeable league break follows. Then down to the business end to wrap what should be inevitable up.

Potentially going to Barwell tonight, relegation six pointer against Bromsgrove, looking forward to it! Just need to make it back in time from work!

Went tonight, gutted for them. Did really well to get back into the game, took the lead late on and then checked it away. 3 identical goals from Bromsgrove, all rebounds from keeper saves, just not reacting to second balls all evening.

Big ask to stay up now!

Boro have a trip again to Leicester to face Allexton and New Parks. I reckon around 140 - 150 from Nuneaton though I wouldn't rule out 200, I think will make the trip over. Leicester not playing till Sunday, so chance for a few foxes fans to come down and actually see some goals lol. Anyone here watch Allexton at all or live near the ground?

I've actually been their before my ex gf was played against them, nice little setup.

Off to watch 1874 Northwich in a bit - four teams/grounds to do in this division.

Somehow Northwich has three football clubs and another club (Barnton) in a village nearby

Going Barwell again today, they've got a new signing, to be announced shortly on their twitter...

The excitement is too much!

Great win for Barwell today and thoroughly deserved, could've had 7, the ball just wasn't falling for them first half. Hit the post twice and lots of chances.

Ashley Chambers with 3 in 3, lots of Leicester connections in the side, great to watch and even better to finish with a few jars in the bar afterwards and still be home before I would be from watching Leicester.

Southern Central Premier again all over the shop but Kettering big winners and a disappointing result for Harborough. The top five beginning to pull away a little.

Quorn now four wins away after Corby lose to Darlaston. Got Rushden in the week

1874 Northwich 0 Highgate United 0

The curious tale of four club Northwich. You have Witton Albion who’ve been the strongest for some time but Northwich Victoria were once a Confetence club. That club went to pieces and split into two. 1874 was by the fans and Victoria still operate. There is no ground in outright Northwich though. 1874 play in Barnton, another club in the area at step 6.

Both Northwich clubs are in the Midland Step 5 division now which I completed while living in Brum but now there’s four grounds I haven’t been. Had means of completing that dicision are now worthless as Victoria currently playing at Winsford, will play at Runcorn next season.

Anyway a good 0-0 draw. The beauty of this pretty basic ground was the spring sunshine did us a favour. Highgate battling relegation, 1874 trying to remain in the playoffs. The away side worked their nads off and battled away. Two very harsh decisions went against them for winners. Love a game like this. Proper effort across the pitch. Sadly, results went against Highgate elsewhere and they are back in relegation zone. 1874 near certain for what will be a very competitive playoffs

Seen reports of Banbury fans attacking Harborough yesterday.

I saw a group of them attacking a Kettering fan when Kettering played them away when they were in National League North couple a seasons ago.

Boro did the same two seasons when we visited Skegness Town, we took a good 100 fans down there. I remember we took over the Lumley pub opposite train station. We lost the game 1-2, I think it safe to say a few Boro players thought they won the game before they kicked a ball and came unstuck. There was a weird situation where a two players had a scrap with each other, the female ref sent the Boro play off. Then both managers pleaded the with the ref to keep the game XI v XI... so the ref had embarrassment of having to recall a player back on to the field. I heard later the ref in question got in trouble for that instant and apparently once a red was shown she can't change her mind even in a friendly.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds 0 - 3 Quorn

Tuesday Night under the lights and a massive three points which should all but wrap up the league for Quorn. Now only 8 points required from the last 8 games dependant on Corby winning all their games.

A sandy pitch did nothing to stop Quorn's superiority in general play. Paddy Webb getting the first after a breakaway and a good thru ball from the impressive Goncalves. Allsopp in goal pulling off 2 top level reflex saves just before the half ensured Quorn went into the break ahead. Billy Kee continued his rejuvenated form in front of goal with the 2nd after good work again from Goncalves. Kee turning provider to set Conclaves up for the third after a volley from Webb. Tetlow and Frizelle snuffing out Diamond's in-form attack. Noble unplayable at times. Fyfe top class in midfield. Nothing less than a 8/10 for all the starting 11. With games at Home against bottom table sides Rugby and Lye, it could be a case of when rather than if

Mad dsy in the Southern Central

I went Barwell v Stamford. I don’t think I’ve seen a more unfortunate performance in a long time. Barwell dominated the first half but couldn’t score. Duffy scores off Stamford’s only chance and they are better side for second half. Until the ref harshly does Barwell’s keeper for a penalty and a second yellow (first looked very dodgy - more in the referees decision making). Stamford miss the penalty and then Barwell give it a right go with one off the line and Stamford’s goalie making a good save. A load of results in the last ten minutes elsewhere kept Barwell out of the bottom four.

You could argue anyone from Harborough’s position might fancy winning the league now. Kettering crumbled in the last minute to concede twice. Halesowen only winners of the top five. While the chasing pack of Leiston & Stamford win, while Harborough about kill off Spalding’s hopes

Went to Spalding v harborough yesterday.

Harborough did what they needed to do and put a shift in second half. From talks of relegation at Christmas to play offs and now even challenging is unreal. We do have the players for it so let's see what happens.

Ironically our form and runs started at the Barwell 2-2 when we came back.

Hope Barwell stay up this season.

Excellent thread as always, so good to read about experiences around the grounds.

I was at Brackley v Alfreton yesterday, a really tough game as the visitors always make life tough down here.

If I’m being polite to their style of football I’d say they’re disrupters!

A hard game but Brackley persisted well and 2 goals from Matt Lowe secured it late.  He’s on fire this year.

We have some real gems in that team including Lewis Hall’s older brother (Connor).  A favourite of mine is Ricardo Calder, ex Villa and shows real quality getting past his man.

Almost 1000 in for the game and top of the table now.

I’ve been going for 4 full seasons now, so barely go to Leicester City now.  It’s sad as I miss the old Leicester City I once loved but feel incredibly lucky to have such a vibrant non-league club on my new doorstep.

I heard a figure Ben Stevens is on at Harborough 😳

Scored a few this season tho!

Yeah heard it all, probably on a decent wage but then so are many in this league
