He has incredible PR around him, and now Jorge Mendes as his agent. The Chelsea departure is being communicated as a resignation rather than a sacking by influential media.
 

He’ll get linked with all the top jobs - quits Chelsea for lack of control and rigid tactics, then gets linked to the RM job having fired Alonso for having too rigid a game plan and being denied the players (e.g. Zubimendi) he wants! Yeah, right Real want more of that 😂

Jorge Mendes is a genius if he pulls this off...

 

I (still) rate Maresca as a potential world class manager. But this is the biggest job in world football by a mile & I have doubts about his temperament.

 

Florentino Perez won't tolerate any attitude from him. At all.

I also can't see Maresca to Man City working out either. The same tactical setup as Guardiola but not as good.

 

I was always weirded out by his Pep cosplaying. & if I think that, what would the Man City first team think? At least the ones who didn't work with him there, which by 2027 will be most of them.

Amazed if he goes Real. Would be a silly move, stubborn manager takes on a club of fans with zero patience and players that don’t want an authoritarian. Sure that will end well.

Absolutely hated the way he used Guillem Balague as his mouthpiece when he was here. Was embarrassing. 

 

All so in return he got to do a couple of tacky meal fundraisers where you could win shit like a Harry Winks boot.

How does he turn them down though if they come in for him? Nothing to lose really, he'll walk into another big job if it doesn't work out.

Tend to agree although I think he is a world class coach rather than manager - whether he has the other attributes to be a world class manager remains to be seen. It's why a club like us was more suited to Enzo's mentality as he would have got to own the whole show. So far, doesn't look like he can handle other stakeholders who want involvement.
