Page is defo next up. Reminds me of Mousa Dembele. Left footed box to box or holding midfielder, strong, press resistant.

Looks like the club have released Deniche Hill according to his Instagram. Considering his background, I really hope that guy gets picked up by a football league club. Imagine we will be seeing more of who’s been released in the next days

I think we’ve relied on big clubs cast offs far too often instead of realising that when those clubs have anyone with even championship level of ability… they don’t release them. Why? Because they are big enough to demand stupid fees even when the players aren’t good enough.

When was the last time a top 6 club released someone 19 or above that actually ended up making a career? There must be some but certainly no stand outs that I know of.

I think it’s the wrong approach. Richard’s, vontae-Daley and this guy have all been very underwhelming.

We’ve tried that way and it’s simply not worked. These clubs know what they’re doing and the lads sticking around instead of them (clearly deemed better) will still have a low percentage make a career in the game, so the cast offs really won’t. I’m all for someone correcting me if I’m wrong here though with some examples

Amani Richards we paid money for when he was 17/18. Whilst you could argue big clubs don't tend to sell players that age for a modest fee if they're any good, it was reported at the time that he was very highly rated at Arsenal. Sometimes these players leave off their own accord.

E.G Heaven from Arsenal will go down as a nominal fee and he's class.

The heaven deal was player pushed though from what I heard. My point was more for the ones that have been released. Richard’s is interesting as we did pay money for him but as you said, they wouldn’t have entertained it if they even rated him a little

He went at a slightly older age but Morgan Rogers for example went for £1.5m from Man City as both player and club wanted out.

Problem is with the amount of games ( and injuries ) you simply need numbers and have to accept therefore that some players will simply be squad fillers

That's the harsh reality of professional football and it's a real bonus if one of those squad fillers massively exceeds expectations

In an ideal world everyone of a certain level plays up a year or two but some times the physical demands are just too much

No doubt in the very near future we will be releasing some squad players who are out of contract ( Hill being one ) only to be replaced by some more squad fillers that are free and everyone will moan about it again

Bit of water to go under that bridge

Our 15-18 year olds right now are better than anything I can ever remember...huge if, but if we can keep them together we will have an incredible nucleus in 3 or 4 years time.

Presume you're a man city fan?

Like to think this now the perfect time for more and more youngsters to be getting senior minutes if we’re destined for a stint in the championship.

Be a shame if we’re raided.

Looks like Jake Evans is a spurs fan from his. Think these boys could do with some social media training. It’s not a good look

Stinks of an agent trying to get a better deal. Can’t see why the club wouldn’t have had a contract in place ready for when he turned 17? Especially as he was so prolific this year.

these lads need to learn about Tavares, the grass isn’t always greener.

So:

- Monga is Chelsea

- Evans is Spurs

- Page is Man United (as is KDH)

Support your local team lads!!! These top 6 clubs don't need more supporters!

This is the reason why I'm desperate for Alves, Braybrooke, McAteer and Thomas to succeed. They're one of us. These other boys are not.

A bit more patience with Evans as I feel his relationship with the spuds could be a more of a 2nd team thing - he follows people like Lee on Instagram and doesn't follow spurs. Whereas the second United get a result, Page has something up on his Instagram. Would mind it a bit less if he did the same thing with us. But he doesn't.
