Well I'm glad everyone at the club doesn't share your view.

Interesting your choice of player and timing to try and prove your point.

You could look just a year or 2 before this and see we produced

Stolarczyk

Iverson And

Johansson

Hardly an issue.

We didn’t produce Iversen or Johanson

So they didn't play for our U23s?.

I think you will find they did

Doesn’t mean we produced them tho. Iversen was signed when he was 18 and Johansson when he was 19 that’s not a graduate. Based on your logic do you think Arjan Raikhy is a graduate even tho we signed him at 20?

Never said that.

I believe there’s logistical complications about having to be in another dressing room too, so you can understand why it doesn’t happen too often.

I didn't even think about that.  Minors with Adults in the same dressing room is not allowed, or minimum dress code policies.

Hockey Canada for youth hockey has made it mandatory that all "youth" must arrive at the rink ready to enter the dressing room with a base layer that is to be worn underneath the equipment.

It only came about in terms of my knowledge when we played Watford in the cup and everyone had covid. We had two changing rooms that day for this exact reason.

He also wouldn't be able to wear the same shirt as the rest of the team...

I remember that and yet all players in the squad that day were over the age of 16, so is it U18's? Plenty of 17-18 year olds break through so I'm sure the club can accommodate such a prospect over the next year.

Out of these 3 it’s only stolarczyk. Who’s a decent keeper that’s not been given enough of a chance earlier on, but would be a solid champ keeper off what we have seen.

the only one from those 3 that can still make it to a high level is johansson and he came on free from villa at 19 so not home grown.

like bosworth, they have been at the club since very young and I can’t see them pushing on. GKs obviously develop slower, but both the keepers have had a lot of bread and butter saves going in at u21 level.

the only one who seems to be rated that’s coming up is marsden and you could argue he’s technically not ours as he joined at 14

I was having a think back last night. I actually think it was another team in a televised game where this came up, and we played after and it was announced we were short on players and we were all speculating who might be in.

So perhaps it is U16 but it wasn't something we did in the end.

GOLDING "LOVING LIFE AT LEICESTER" AFTER MAKING THE MOVE FROM CHELSEA

Leicester City youngster Michael Golding is enjoying his time at the club this season.

The 18-year-old made the move from Chelsea to the Foxes to get more game time.

The England Under-19 star has been working with the team’s Development Squad for the most part.

“I think it was a frustrating game for us,” he admitted post-match after the Leicester Under-21s lost 1-0 to Notts County on Tuesday.

“In the first half, we played quite well, early in the second half we played well as well, created a lot of chances, but we just need to capitalise on those next.

“I think sometimes with the final pass, the final touch to set us up for the shot, the composure in front of goal (was missing). But I think we played well as a team. We were good in our one vs. one duels, we were exciting, obviously against a men's team.”

“Individually, I've got to push on and just try my best,” he added.

“When I get the ball, I just try and excite the crowd, show my skills and try to go forward at every opportunity to help the team and against men, if you're doing that, it's positive.

“Obviously playing against older players, it's always good for your development, but we've got to push on in our upcoming games.

“I’m learning a lot from Leon (McSweeney), he helps us a lot tactically and technically. Going on pre-season with the First Team, I learnt a lot from the Manager, Steve Cooper and all the staff and the players. It's good to test myself and train against them.

“Then I think I started well in the league as well, scored some goals, made some assists. Obviously getting injured wasn't the best thing, but it's just a minor setback. I've come back after six weeks, had the last two games, got 60 minutes under my belt, building the fitness.

“I think I'm fit now and going into the next games, I'll hopefully get 90 minutes, show what I can do and I'm just loving life at Leicester.”

I don’t remember seeing comments like this about the last coach. How’s Leon getting on? Is he a better fit for us? or is this just standard media comments

well, it looks like someone from the u21s is gonna have to step into the squad...

Door should be wide open for Alves! Sickening that we will persevere with BDR instead of giving him a go.

Barring Oli Ewing isn’t that quite a young Under21 squad?

Average age is around 18 I believe

Bausor 19

Aluko 17

Joseph 18

Godsmark-Ford 21

Wilson-Brown 20

Cartwright 19

Monga 15

Ewing 21

Golding 18

Evans 17 (I think)

King 17

Will Ewing have a future or just be released.  Poor lad surely needs a loan somewhere?

He was very good a few years ago - I remember watching him play a match against Chelsea who had Billy Gilmour at the time when he was highly rated and Ewing outplayed him

He is 22 in January though and had a couple of serious injuries so I wouldn't be surprised if he gets released next summer

Under 21s lineup vs Hull in the Premier League Cup

image.png.ac1aa42fc6c5ee5ee9e62e806a376834.png

Subs: French, Lindsay, Pennant, Page, Briggs

If Golding doesn’t choose for his career number to be 57 then I shall be seriously let down.
