Guessing La Louvière will be a big Darby game?

Not at all :)

Our only derby's are against KV Mechelen and Sint-Truiden.

Westerlo kind of as well due to proximity, more than Sint-Truiden. But yeah, we don't have any fierce rivalries except with Tienen (who play in third division).

Persistent rumour that we're talking to Karel Geraerts to replace Coleman. Would be a good choice but even if it isn't him (competition from Lens, KV Mechelen and Standard), the most important note is that Coleman's days are numbered.

Wait, I thought they dissolved?

Just had a quick check to see they are kind of a phoenix club and rocketing up the leagues.

Is there a lot of controversy about them?

They were a big part of the gambling and match-fixing scandal in 2006. After that they dropped down to the lower leagues and merged with some neighboring clubs and changed their name, only to change it back to RAAL La Louvière in 2017. Went from the Belgian 5th division to now getting promoted to the 1st division in only 8 seasons. The club is now led by former players like Enzo Scifo, Silvio Proto and Nicolas Frutos. Non of the people involved with the match-fixing scandal are involved with the "new" club, so no real controversy.

Once again, some soft goals to concede and poor finishing at the other end. Could easily have won that.

Here's hoping you have a good off-season and use the money from Banzuzi well.

Is Davis Opoku a hot prospect?

From what I've seen, absolutely. From what we've seen in the last game, someone who wants to play forward, a nice bit of flair, moves well, good technicals. Only seventeen, too. There's quite a few to be honest. We currently have two kids at the Euros U17 with Belgium, both starting full backs, who just progressed to the semi finals from a group with England, Italy and Czech Republic.

From the U23, goalie Radelet is supposedly the biggest talent but there are a few that have featured a few times for the first team already. Plenty to look out for imo.

From what I’ve seen I really like Wouter George

Ditto, just not labeling him as a hot prospect anymore as he already turned 23 in March.

Can anyone see any benefit whatsoever to KP owning OH Leuven as well as us?  Anyone?

Not anymore since Brexit, before the idea was for us to sign young players from outside of Europe that could not get a work permit in the UK and send them to OHL for two years to get Belgium citizenship then bring them back to play for us.

They bought the club after the Brexit vote....

Assume Chris Coleman is getting flung into the Dyle as soon as possible?

Presumably, yes. They're obviously talking to other candidates, I reckon he will only be finalized once there's an agreement with someone who will take over.

This is indeed not correct. We're not a feeder club or in any other way meant as a step up to Leicester. Also shows in the fact that there haven't been any meaningful Leicester loans in ages. Moore and Sowah were the only succesful ones in the past, with a few others flopping.

Basically, we just have the same owners. Nothing more, nothing less.

If a young player was decent enough we could send a player to them for one season and if they played enough in that one season they could get a work permit

We just seemingly have no interest in using that to our advantage

Might also be that you don't have anyone good enough to be added value for us. The last loans (Sowah being the exception) have been absolute shambles in that regard iirc.

Brunes will stay in Poland at Rakow, with the Poles activating his clause. Polish media cites 1,5M, Transfermarkt says 2. Either way, we recover most of his transfer fee, which is good news.

So USG have qualified for CL again.

Not just a one off flash in the pan

shows what a proper businessman can do with an investment rather than our lot.

USGs rise is nothing short of remarkable. Usurping traditional power houses like Club Brugge, Anderlecht and Genk is no mean feat.

Apparently, the only reason Coleman hasn't been sacked yet is because Top so far refuses to sign his resignation. In the meantime, we have personal agreements with five new players but can't sign them as long as Coleman is around because they need to know who the new manager will be and how he wants to play..
