leicsmac Posted 5 November 2024 Author Posted 5 November 2024 And so we come to it at last. Fivethirtyeight actually shows the slightest tilt towards Harris in its final prediction. But it is still functionally 50/50. Let it begin.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 5 November 2024 Posted 5 November 2024 I’m quite excited for the shitshow, I’d be very shocked if Harris pulls this out the bag. 1

Not quite, i did think Trump was going to win with that as well though, but I think the Covid hysteria played a part in that. Biden was always a good fit with the middle voter, Biden also ran a good campaign too, didn’t go too much into Trump derangement, only question marks were around his mental fortitude.just can’t see it with Harris even with the polls suggestions. I could be wrong mind but I would be genuinely shocked Edited 5 November 2024 by The Horse's Mouth

I could be wrong mind but I would be genuinely shocked I guess we'll find out soon enough. NB. I wonder what Heather Heyer in 2017 and the Capitol police on January 6th 2021 thought of downplaying what Trump and his followers get up to.
Innovindil Posted 5 November 2024 Posted 5 November 2024 Don't really give a monkey who wins just hope that it's peaceful after. An American civil war would soon show @leicsmac that nature is a lil bitch in comparison 1

Take out the Trump voters and that’s still about 70% of dems. That’s a little bit depressing. It is indeed. People don't seem to get that the economy doesn't matter much when there are little or no resources to buy with the value it generates. Then the "economy" rapidly becomes the person with the biggest gun taking what they want.

To say nothing of a simple novel virus racking up a seven figure death count inside a couple of years in the US without breaking a sweat, or that we're living in one of the most temperate times in Earth's history. Nature can, does, and will, fvck us up.

Sampson Posted 5 November 2024 Posted 5 November 2024 I can’t get my head round the appeal of Elon Musk. Whenever I hear him speak I just think he sounds extremely awkward and a dreadful public speaker, almost Truss-esque. Yet a scary number of people seem to hang on his every word and consider him a genius. 2 1
