Just interested? so how about performances against Fulham, Everton, Walsall, parts of the tranmere game, Cooper is a part of the issue here, its pretty plain to see. like that Everton game, putting Ayew against Young, like come on Fatawu would have had him playing JJ even tho hes looked iffy as hell at RB, Cooper said he learnt from his time out the game, watched all of our games from last season, its clear he's lied on both fronts as for a replacement, god sodding knows with the idiots higher up we need a manager whos adaptable really, so could be one of a number but the club always wants one with "experience" 2

foxfanazer Posted 29 September 2024 Posted 29 September 2024 The quality of the league is at an all time low imo so there's a real opportunity to stay up but we're hamstrung by this manager. I just pray we don't leave it too late 1

Ref was an absolute homer and a joke at this level, dishing cards out like confetti mainly to our players. It was a valiant effort yesterday, especially 2nd half. Getting bored of this Cooper out nonsense now, genuinely believe some of you lot should support another team. oh through the good times and the BAD........and repeat, which laughably some of you lot sing........lol. It’s no different to having better players in the squad and not playing them. Better quality coaches are available. We are inflicting damage to ourselves with persisting with Cooper. I didn’t expect us to beat Tottenham, Villa or Arsenal. However it’s the horrendous tactics that are hurting us. Realistically we should have been heavily defeated by Arsenal. If you look at the xG across our games, it’s crazy. We haven’t won one of those and I know it’s only an indicator but long term we can’t expect the team to out perform it. The xG against Arsenal alone just proves that Hermansen kept that score down yesterday and left it looking semi respectable. Leicester xG Opponent xG Tottenham 1.03 1.41 Fulham 0.86 1.96 Villa 0.77 2.16 Palace 1.65 2.89 Everton 1.34 1.82 Arsenal 0.34 6.08 Total 5.99 16.32 Edited 29 September 2024 by Sly

Sly Posted 29 September 2024 Author Posted 29 September 2024 Just for info by the way, our expected expected points has us 19th. So the te is out performing at the moment; which sort of proves we might have some ability with tin this squad. https://understat.com/league/EPL

Maybe Potter has changed, but its not an ideal footprint for a new manager.

They might have given it their all but we were setup terribly and had no way of playing. 4-2 hugely flattered us, on another day with Mads not in that form and it could have been 6-0. We offered zero in attack, our midfield was absent, and we couldn’t defend for toffee. What we expect is a good standard of performance, a team that is coached to play, an ability to compete. We had none of these. Sure, we were always likely to lose the fixture but it’s the manner of the performance not the result or scoreline that has people worried and makes people think Cooper simply doesn’t have what it takes at this level. 2
Popular Post Filbert Fireworks Posted 29 September 2024 Popular Post Posted 29 September 2024 We had a huge transition this summer. Promotion managerial change. All the off pitch issues. 10 players left 9 joined We didnt assemble the squad untill a couple of weeks ago and with the off pitch issues we know Cooper didn't get his preferred targets. What manager does sail through that preseason perfectly he also joined us quite late. Maresca was a brilliant tactician. Simply brilliant. It was all about meticulous drills and patterns of play. Cooper is somewhat the opposite he provides motivation and allows the players freedom to decide and express themselves which at the minute looks like we lack a style but the 2 goals against palace and arsenal you see it working. It hasn't fully clicked yet but a win is coming. Transitions take time and patience. He has a good run in october now for it to click now and I hope we are all pleasantly suprised when it does. Reminds me a bit of MON remember thinking he was out his depth at the start of his tenure. 2 1 2

We were playing one of the 10 team teams in the world at present , without class players there is no cohesion. All you do is chase the ball and try to get it off them and we couldn't, but we tried.
Popular Post Stadt Posted 29 September 2024 Popular Post Posted 29 September 2024 The just give him time drones thought Rodgers would turn it around, then they started saying ‘who else is there’? when it was obvious he wouldn’t. Anybody defending him is simply not worth reading or replying too. There’s literally thousands of managers what would leap at the job. They’re not all going to be good enough but there’s managers in the Belgian, Danish, Dutch, Czech etc leagues doing well who’d love to manage in the PL and 5x their salary. The club hierarchy just for once have to stop being myopic goons and recruit from Europe 12

Rodgers had 3/4 season which I agree was too long when it clearly had all gone stale. We've all got PTSD from that. Coopers had 6 games. Just 6. October gives him around 10. That's reasonable. 1

I think Cooper has found a copy of Brendan's " How to lose a football game with pointless substitutions in injury time" kicking around the toilet in the managers office at Seagrave.

shiv Posted 29 September 2024 Posted 29 September 2024 Tactically, I don’t think I have ever seen such a poor manager. We could not even string one pass together in the first half and got boxed in by the Arsenal press. We dropped far too deep and left a big gap between midfield and attack once again. We needed to be much more fluid in our movement, but Cooper has the team regimented in their positioning in a low block. You also need more technical ability in the double pivot midfield. Winks & Ricardo were brilliant together last season but he’s opting for Skipp who clearly does not have the technical ability to play this role, and is not playing to Winks’ strengths. Winks is by far our best midfielder and it’s criminal to see him being utilised ineffectively. Our first goal was a stroke of luck through Vardy’s clever play to win the free kick. If you look at our play before he goes down, once again there is nobody within 20 yards of Vardy. He is isolated again but thankfully wins a free kick where we get a lucky deflection. I would say our second goal was a much better show of intent, as we had N’Didi overlapping Mavididi, JJ pushing forward on the overlap and Buonanotte coming inside. We seemed to push higher up the pitch and led Arsenal to drop deep. Unfortunately that lasted no more than 10 minutes, as we very quickly reverted to Cooper’s defensive tactics and dropped far too deep. We let Arsenal come at us and had no counter attacking threat up top. This was a game that was crying out for some pace, and the obvious substitutions were to bring on Edouard & Fatawu at 65-70 minutes. Unfortunately it’s clear that Cooper is not learning anything. He is making the same mistakes every week, allowing his poor decisions during the match impact the result and not playing our best attacking players. I don’t believe for a second he’s watched all of our games from last season like he’s claimed, because if he has and then concluded that Ricardo, Fatawu and Mavididi shouldn’t play together then he’s absolutely lost the plot. 1 1

How long is it going to take a new manager to assess the team and bring in their style of play? Those 4 games are gone either way.

Rodger Schmidt. three of those games are after an international break which is a fortnight to free up the team from the cooperball malaise and get the handbrake off 1
