He's gone in late with his head. Would be the same any other part of the pitch if a player is late to a challenge with head or feet.

If that's a penalty I'm unsure why Gordon didn't get one earlier for having Kulusevski break his nose with his shoulder.

I think the difference is that was more of a coming together where Saliba although accidentally motioned his head towards the ball but missed it and took the player

Not happy, but I’d find it hard to disagree. He’s gone for the ball, missed it, and made significant contact. It’s a penalty.

You asked why I thought it’s ridiculous and in my opinion I don’t think it’s a penalty. They’re both going for a 50/50, Saliba gets a touch on the ball before he makes contact with Pedro. It’s not dangerous, it’s not reckless and he’s not out of control.

I'll have to see it again but I didn't see Saliba get a touch on the ball and if he did that changes things as it would if it was a challenge with the feet

It's honestly a travesty. We were lightyears ahead of the likes of these, Brentford, Forest, Fulham, Bournemouth and even Villa. There should be a university module on the mismanagement of this club

His momentum takes him forward and Pedro in my opinion is then throwing himself up into Saliba’s space.
