As I said before if they're are not going ahead with the expansion any time soon they should refurbish the old electric repair building into an indoor fan zone for the winter. They could kit it out with wall decor of the clubs history.  a very long bar, a small stage etc,

Totally mate.

Immy has access to the most incredible network of clubs that would let her go and see how the very best do it. She needs to invest in time away from KP ivory towers and visit these places to see what’s happening, globally. That’s all I did, you have to make it happen and accept you don’t know all the answers. Other clubs will help. It could be Tony doesn’t want her to but as it’s stands a year in if this is what our matchday offering is then it’s a massive, massive disappointment.

You will never turn old guys and gals into making new habits but you have to create new habits for the next gen and this glorified village fete won’t do that.

Easily turn it into a few bars and food court kind of place, adorned in blue decor for sure. There'll be plenty of local businesses that would want exposure in that kind of setting.

Club don’t want the hassle, they put the catering contract out and it’s gone to an American supplier. And that supposedly includes the fan zone outlets and the vans around the ground.

They have no desire to be the best in show IMO. I don’t exaggerate when i say thete are non league clubs with better offerings in this area.

Personally I think as a whole we really lack a fan culture in Leicester that would support something simply independently. Annoyingly Forest have a couple of these sort of things ran by a local brewery. If only someone could get hold of an industrial unit off Freemans Common and do a proper job

Gillingham (yes Gillingham) did this so well years ago and Charlotte there at the time had peanuts for a budget. They had a local Chinese, Spanish restaurant, burger place every week. It was incredible.

As I’ve said ad nauseam , it’s a mindset.

If you're talking about the same building (the former EON site on Raw Dykes Road), there's certainly a lot of potential here.

No the one right next to the stadium a long narrow building which i'm sure used to be used for repairs.

I used to work for National Grid in that building. It was a refurb centre which has been moved to Enderby now. When the club bought it we had to move out to a deadline as the club wanted to flatten it for their expansion plans.

We moved out in January 22 and there is is still!

I don’t want to cloud your personal and trust posts (sorry if this does) but Is that worth pursuing through the trust that? If there is feeling they aren’t trying to be the best the FT should challenge that and the club should be able to easily provide you with evidence they are and with a plan….. or they won’t of course!

You’d face “we can’t fight every battle” from Bason and Digby but this is real low hanging fruit for the club and essential for FE / matchday experience / fan acquisition and fan retention etc etc

£3.20 for water in the ground last night, thats terrible.

When you have kids it’s diabolical right?

They should offer a discount by showing a kids ticket and also have refill stations.

Has catering operations improved at all, or does it depend on the location in the stadium?

I didn't know how expensive bottled water was until last night. Not been in properly into the Fan zone but I could see Robert Huth being interviewed last night so watched that briefly.

The new caterer had a nightmare first game. Tons of complaints, club engaged heavily with supporters at the highest level last two weeks. Last night was a major step up lots of things fixed, new things that improved food, delivery, service so have to say they did very well. I visited the fan zone and yes it was disappointing spoke with club leadership who noticed the difference between us and Charlton the previous week. Upcoming Matchday experience 90 minutes sign up and pack it out to deliver thoughts and ideas get off the keyboards and turn up please.

Yeah I see. Relates to what @CosbehFox is saying.

If the desire isn't there to do it, it'll never happen.
