McLaren clearly favour Norris.

He's had a great race but he's basically on a 1 stop with his SC pit. Surely had to come in again or cling on for dear life at the end

Not sure about that. He'll be going quicker on the medium and would struggle to make the end if he stayed out on the soft. Best to swap them over ASAP.

But doing the same as Norris keeps him behind. Got to try something. Even If he had lost out then they tried. This way, he is guaranteed to be behind.

He was never in contention against Lando. Been miles slower all weekend and need to sweep us as many points as he can to keep it close. He'll probably get Russell on this strat.

Very. His tyres were already 35 laps old when they called him in, and he had another 10+ laps to go. Can't remember the exact laps but his tyres would have fallen off the cliff and possibly lost 2nd as well.
